Hong cai tai (Brassica campestris L.ssp. Chinensis L.var. utilis Tsen et Lee . 2n=20) is an important vegertable and it is named as purple cai tai or red you cai tai , belongs to cabbage species (B. campestris) . It is a mutation of crucifer in Brassica. Hong cai tai, a crop of cross-polination, has a small flower organ, so it has a few seeds from every flower. Nowadays, product seeds in male fertile is populate in fact. This experiment researched effects of on the yield and quality of Hong cai tai from different resource . The main results were as follows:1. Effects on seed production in different seasons were quite great, as follows: seeds yield through producting seeds from winter to spring were highest, ones from spring to summer were middling, and ones from summer to autumn were lowest.2. Effects on seeds quality by seed production in different seasons: The rate of germination of seeds from winter to spring were higher than ones from spring to summer, which were followed by ones from summer to autumn; Purity in field of ones from summer to autumn were highest , ones from spring to summer were higher than seeds from winter to spring; Purity in room of seeds from summer to autumn were higher than ones from spring to summer, followed by ones from winter to spring.3. Effects on seeds offspring by product seeds in different seasons: There were no effects on the maturity in plants, numbers of harvest's flower stock, the yield, quality(dissoluble sugar and vitamin C ), but effects on dissoluble protein were large: seeds offspring from spring to summer is highest. Photosynthesis rate of seeds offspring from winter to spring higher than ones from summer to autumn, followed by ones from spring to summer; Chlorophyll content in seeds offspring from winter to spring and ones from summer were equal, which higher than ones from spring to summer; Peroxidase activity(POD) in seeds offspring from winter to spring were highest, and seeds offspring from summer to autumn take second place. Ones from spring to summer is lowest; Superoxide dismutase activity in early stage in seeds offspring from winter to spring were highest. Ones from spring to summer were middling. So ones from summer to autumn were lowest. However, effects on superoxide dismutase activity in late stage were same.4. Effects on seeds yield in different rate between female parent and male parent still were large. Seeds yield in ratio 2:1 between female parent and male parent were equal to ones in ratio 4:2, which were followed sequently, ones in the ratio 3:1 and ones in the ratio 6:2 .5. Effects on seeds quality in different rate between female parent and male parent: There were few effects on seeds rate of germination in different rate between female parent and male parent is few; Purity in field in ratio 6:2 between female parent and male parent were equal to ones in ratio 4:2, which were higher than ones in ratio 2:1 equal to ones in the ratio 3:1.6. Effects on seeds offspring by seed production in different rate between female parent and male parent few.7. Study on correlation between seeds yield and compositive characters and path analysis of several component characters were performed. However, both numbers of total pods and numbers of seeds per per pod, which remained characters through played the role, had great effect on seeds yield. And Effects on seeds yield from remained factor were few.
