Although application of antibiotics is one of the major methods to cure infectious disease caused by pathogenic bacteria, there are several disadvantages of developing new antibiotics include including long experiment period and high investment. In addition, animal's resistance to antibiotics happens inevitably soon after the practice. Up to now there are no conform and standard testing methods for drug resistance. The existing examination methods are tedious and time-costing. The culture condition of different method varies and is not exact enough to determine the sensitivity of each germ stub to each medicine. The purpose of this study is to develop new method for fast testing of antibiotics resistance.The principle of slip method was adopted in this study. The sensitivity of specific medicine was measured using the antibiotics susceptibility test kit formed with the polystyrene. Antibacterial drug was embedded in the kit and the sensitivity of judgment standard was measured. The results showed that when the quantity of the prepared medicine in the pit was equal to that of the normal regulations slip method, the measurements by new method were highly (p<0.05) correlated to the measurements of slip methods. The measurements of new method showed better repeatability. The variability coefficient is lower than 5.6%. The antibiotics susceptibility test kit has better stability and its storage period can be extended to at least 180 days.The susceptibility test kit was applied in the examination the sensitivities to eight antibiotics of 122 E.coli isolated from Shandong province. The results showed that the sensitivity of 122 E.coli to Apramycin is 90.2%, to Macleaya cordata is 83.6%, to Amikacin is 77.9%, to Sulfate is 76.2%, to Florfenicol is 73.8%, to Difloxacin is 62.3%, to Levofloxacin is 50.8%, to Rifampin is 56.6%. The above medicines showed enough prevention and curing effect on E.coli isolated from Shandong province. In addition, the antibiotics susceptibility test kit can not only be applied in measuring the sensitivity of one germ stock various medicine but also in the measurement of multi-germs to the sensitivity of one or different type of medicines. It was estimated that the susceptibility test kit could be a useful tool for large-scale investigation of antibiotics resistance and help to guide antibiotic planning of farms in specific area.
