According to the occurrence laws of forest pest diseases and the characteristics of biology,the system is able to analyse and judge data synthetically, integrating with weather forecast data.The system uses integration of ArcObjects and Visual Basic as the secondary developmentplatform.By using Markov chain and Artificial Neural Networks(ANN) methods forecast period,quantity, area, harm degree of pests occurrence. On the map ,the area and location can belabelled and displayed with three dimensions by extent and location of occurrence.This is a stand-alone system ,but it has a function of network and data sharing. Roundly,improving the numeralization and automatization standard of forest pest diseases forecast is theoverall object of this system. The system will effectively settle all the problems encountered inforest insect diseases information management and meet the challenge of the specificspace—time data handling.The software can accelerate standardization, systematization, activityof the forest insect disease prevention information. The system can timely collect preventionmanagement information and deliver, issue them accurately.The system has concretely achievedall the objects as follows.The system can manage digitized forest resources and correlated data by computer.And itcan query,retrieve them and make historical, experimental data automatize.By computer it cananalyse inputed data and outputting results.It's a syntheses of daily office system and forestmanagement.It will provide assistant decision-making information for forest pest diseasesforecast and enhance efficiency of routine.The system can accomplish data sharing and dailymanagement.It can update,check and protect the system data. In order to confirm if insectdiseases can cause harms,period, quantity, area, harm degree of pests occurrence areforcasted.According to the degree of harm and all kinds of benefits we can make sure if theforest need prevention and the most appropriate time.The system uses some mathematic models and these modes give birth to effective directionsfor insect diseases forecast. They have the significance for the forest conservationdepartment and provide scientific bases for correlative departments'decision-making.
