| Through the sand incubation experiment, the effects of calcium and boron nutrition on the growth of lily, and the relationship between the lesf-burn of oriental lily and calcium and boron nutrition were studied. The effects of calcium and boron nutrition on the content and uptake of the nutrients in different growth phases of the different varieties oriental lily, and the dedication of lily bulb to the growth of lily were also analyzed. The aim is to provide a theory foundation to avoid appearance of leaf-burn phenomenon during the growth of oriental lily, thereby to improve the quality of cut-flower and the economic efficiency in lily cut-flower production. The results showed as follows.1 The Acapulco oriental lily took place leaf-burn under the calcium deficiency, which indicated that there is relationship between calcium and leaf-burn. The young bud shrunken and died at 32 days after tranplanting, and flower bud could not be emergence which apearenced leaf-burn phenomenon, under lacking calcium treatment. At meantime, the lily growth has seriously restrained, and can not complete it's lifecycle. However, the lily of adding Ca2+ treatments didn't occur leaf-burn and the cut-flower reached national second standards. In another experiment, the two oriental lily i.e Sorbonne and Siberia did not appeared typical leaf-burn under the condition of lacking calcium but the growth of the two oriental lily was affected in different degree Which showed that the leaf and flower bud of Siberia was taken off from the plant, could not form the cut-flower, and the final result was same to the Acapulco oriental lily.2 The boron deficiency did not significantly impact the content of chlorophyll, plant height, dry weight of Siberia and Sorbonne lily which could complete the lifecycle, but the boron nutrient affected the growth of root and the shape of flower bud, the cut-flower can not outspread completely, so the quality of cut-flower reduced seriously. Under lacking boron condition, the boron in the bulb can not satisfy the growth of lily. At the stage of cut-flower, boron content and accumulation in the above-ground organs of 2 varieties of lily was increased as adding boron,at the same time, calcium content and uptake in these organs was also increased.3 The addition of calcium increased plant height and the chlorophyll content, promoted the water content absorption, and enhanced dry matter accumulation of the Acapulco oriental lily., However, calcium nutrition was not remarkably affect chlorophyll content, plant height, and flower bud number of Sorbonne and Siberia lily. Addingcalcium increased leaf and the flower bud and the whole fresh weight of lily remarkably, and also remarkably increased the dry weight of leaf, flower bud and whole plant of Sorbonne and dry weight of flower bud to the Siberia.4 There was different effection of calcium on calcium content between the Sorbonne and Siberia lily. When the flower bud of Sorbonne expanded, calcium contains of root in added calcium treatment was double approximately to that in lacking calcium treatment;and from the apperance of flower bud, added calcium treatment increased the calcium content of leaf and the flower bud. At the stage of cutting flower, calcium content of Siberia root in added calcium treatment was 2.4 time approximately to that in lacking calcium treatment. From the flower bud expanded to cut flower, added calcium treatment also increased calcium content of Siberia's stem, the leaf, and flower bud remarkably. At the stage of cutting flower, calcium was mainly distributed in leaf and flower bud for the Sorbonne and Siberia lily. The calcium accumulation in root, leaf, flower bud and whole plant under added calcium treatment was remarkably higher than that under lacking calcium treatment. Under lacking calcium treatment, calcium in stem and leaf would transport to flower bud after flower bud expanding which resulted in that the young leaf would fall off.5 At the stage of cut flower, potassium content of Sorbonne's bulb, stem, leaf and bud in lacking calcium treatment was higher than that in adding calcium treatment, but that of Siberia's bud was lower significantly than adding calcium treatment. Potassium accumulation of Sorbonne's bulb and stem in lacking calcium treatment was higher than that in adding calcium treatment, but that of Siberia's root and bud was lowersignificantly than adding calcium treatment. |
