At present, oligochitosan has become one of new hotspots in biology realm as the background of high technology inside and outside overseas. Oligochitosan is degraded by chitosan, which is the outcome of chitin escaped from acetyl. It is not only good solution and easy absorption but also many traits such as no leftover, no durable medicine, antitumor and regulating immunization. Mostly chitin exists in lower animals especially arthropod like the shell of shrimp, crab and insect. In nature biosynthetic chitin is far more than the other amidoamylose. It is very abundant natural resources. The shrimp, crab and the molluscs are abundant, a great deal of shell waste are left . The shell wastes can become raw material of the chitin, chitosan, and then avoid the pollution of the environment, development circulation economy. Along with study thorough, this special property living creature material has already developed to become the industry that has the huge economic performance, social performance and ecosystem performance gradually, particularly vast in the aspect development foregrounds, such as medicine, food, chemistry and agriculture...etc., but to a less of applied report of the animal .The researches have not yet been founded on layer quails. The experiments probed into effect of growth performance, immune function and cecum flora in layer quails diets supplemented with oligochitosan, selected appropriate quantity, provided academic basis in order to seek for the replacer of antibiotics, empolder healthy feed additives and produce safty livestock and poultry product.280 one day old quails(longcheng) were dibided into 7 groups randomly, 2repetition each group. The test was designed according to one factor, the SPSS statistic software to carry on the data analysis. The study expected 35 days. The first group was control, fed on basal diets. The second group was antibiotic, fed on basal diets supplemented with 5mg/kg flavomycin. The third ,fourth ,fifth ,sixth ,seventh group were oligochitosans, basal diets with 0.01% ,0.05% ,0.10% ,0.15% ,0.20% oligochitosan respectively, measuring index signs such as growth performance, immunity function and gut flora etc. The results showed: â‘ oligochitosan added into diets could promote growth performance in quails. Average body weight of â…¡,â…¢,â…£,â…¤,â…¥ and â…¦ groups increased by 3.30% (P<0.05), 1.38% (P>0.05),4.84 %(P<0.01),4.55 % (P<0.01) ,4.63% (P<0.01) and 4.13% (P<0.05) at 21d,4.07% (P<0.01), 3.39% (P<0.05 ), 7.15%(P<0.01),4.58% (P<0.01), 3.65% (P<0.05), 3.88% (P<0.05) at 35d. About average dailygain, testing II ,III,IV,V, VI and VD groups increased by5.31% (PO.05) ,3.54% (P>0.05) ,7.67 % (PO.01) ,6.78% (P<0.01) ,6.78% (P<0.01) and 5.90% (PO.01) comparing with control group between 1 to 21d, at 35d, average daily gain of testing II ,IV, V group reached 3.42g,3.45g and 3.43g,all bettered than the control (PO.01) and between them were not significant differences (P>0.05>1 .But there was no differences on average daily food intake among testing groups (P>0.05) .?There were defferent effects on immune function in diets added into oligochitosan. Testing II and IV groups could increase the content of serum IgG (PO.05) ,as the same time, testing IV groups also advanced IgM (PO.05 ) , but no significant difference was presented among all groups in IgA (PO.05) . To neuroendocrine factor, content T3 of testing II, IV and V groups were extremely higher than the control (PO.01) ,the other groups were no significant difference beside the III and VI groups, but it was a trend to boost. Content T4 of all groups were no difference. To the relative immune organs weight of quails, testing IV group increased by 25.5% (PO.01) in thymus;testing IV and V groups improved 48.78% and 41.46% (PO.05) in spleen , the other groups also advanced, but not reaching significant level;testing II,III,IV,V,VI and W groups compared the control to raise 19.49% (PO.05) ,9.32% (P>0.05) ,17.79%(PO.05) ,20.33% (PO.05 ),9.32%(P>0.05)and 6.78%(P>0.05)in Bursa. F. Oligochitosans aside of III group could improve antibody titres to Newcastle virbus (PO.05) ,and no differences among them. To the content C3 .testing II and IV groups got all better than the control(P0.05) ,and between them varied not much. ?Diets with oligochitosan could improve gut flora. Content Bifidobacterium of testing IV, V ,VI and VII groups were superior to the control(P0.05), also, the IV group was the best. But to content Colibacillus, testing II,IV and V groups were markedly lower than the control(P<0.05 ) ,and between them were no difference. Conclusion: it can improve digestive system and the immune system functions when diets were supplemented with oligochitosan, and enhance growth performance.
