Study On The Action Of Traditional Chinese Medicine "ChangNing Ⅱ" On Diarrhea Of Calf

"ChangNing â…¡"is a compound Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which contrapose the mostly pathogenic factors on lax calf of Yanbian. In oder to study the mechanism of action of TCM ChangNing II on diarrhea of calf, were systematically studied from five aspects which are the minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) and Sub-MIC, post antibiotics effect(PAE), cell stick to attaching, the effect on intestinal movement, and selected the best way to distill the medicine to treat diarrhea of calf.The results of the bacteriostatic experiment in vitro shows : TCM ChangNing â…¡ have good effect on the bacteriostasis. To E.coli K₉₉, 987P, separate bacterial strain, it can produce on the bacteriostasis in various degree. The MIC of E.coli K₉₉ is 2^-7g/rnl> the E.coli 987P and separate bacterial strain is 2^-6Vml.In Sub-MIC, we can observe that ChangNing â…¡ has made obviously change to the body of E.coli K₉₉, it become long and silk form change takes place. At the same time, ChangNing â…¡ have influenced sticking to the lepithelium and kidney cell at cattle's small intestine of E.coli The result of PAE indicated that ChangNing â…¡ have different degree of PAE , the PAE is prolonged with increase in concentration, and there are differentias among the E.colis. These results proved that TCM ChangNing â…¡ can influence growth and reproduction of bacterium in the lower concentration of MIC.In the experiment in isolating bowel, we can indicate that TCM ChangNingâ…¡ have obvious inhibition to rabbit's intestines sport and made its constringency lower, prolonged its expansion time, and had anti-function in Pilocarpine causing of comfortable quickly; the results of the intestinal movement shows the difference of active charcoal push on is prominent (P<0.01) which compared with the contrast group.All result show that TCM ChangNing II have good antimicrobial effect , obvious inhibition to intestines sport It have good curative on diarrhea of calf .So these can provide theoretic bases to investigate and develop the new TCM which have antibacterial and anti-lax efficacy.
