This study was conducted to investigate the effects of Astragalus Polysaccharide and Baichlin on growth performance and the physiological and biochemical parameters in blood in the diets of weaned piglets, discuss the optimal level of APS and Baichlin on the diets of weaned piglets and to explain the mechanism of its effects preliminarily. There were two trial in this study. The first experiment was about the effects of different each APS and Baichlin contents in the diets of weaned piglets.Choosed 42 days old, 168 weaned piglets(Duroc × Landrance × Large) which were divided into seven groups and every groups had three pens which had eight piglets, fed basal diets adding 0% (control group),0.02% (group I ),0.05% (group II ),0.1% (groupIII) APS and 0.02% (groupIV),0.05%( group V),0.1%( groupVI) Baichlin. The result showed that: (1) Adding APS increased the average body weight of group of piglets. ADG of group I,II,III respectively increased by 2.35%(P>0.05), 5.73%(P<0.05), 4.77%(P<0.05) compared with the control group. The second group had the highest ADG. The feed-meat ratio of the group I, II ,III were lower than control group, the second group was the lowest(P>0.05).(2)With the APS contents increasing, the apparent digestibility of crude protein and crude fat increased(P>0.05). (3)Different level dietary APS supplementation reduce the diarrhea rate of piglets. Group I, II ,III respectively decreased by 12.50% (P>0.05), 18.75% (P>0.05), 31.25% (P<0.05) (4)Adding Baichlin increased the average daily gain of group of piglets. ADG of group IV, V , VI respectively increased by 2.61%(P>0.05), 5.22%(P<0.05), 4.45%(P<0.05) compared with the control group. The fifth group had the highest ADG. The feed-meat ratio of the group IV, V, VI were lower than control group, the fifth group was the lowest(P>0.05).(5)With the Baichlin contents increasing, the apparent digestibility of crude protein increased by 1.53%(P>0.05), 5.43%(P<0.05), 4.91%(P<0.05) and crude fat increased by 1.47%(P>0.05), 3.91%(P>0.05), 4.39%(P>0.05). (6)Different level dietary Baichlin supplementation reduce the diarrhea rate of piglets. Group IV, V, VI respectively decreased by 12.50%31.25%(P<0.05),50%(P<0.05),56.25%(P<0.05)oThe second experiment was conducted to investigate the optimal level of APS and Baichlin on the diets of weaned piglets the physiological and biochemical parameters in blood in the diets of weaned piglets and explain the mechanism of its effects preliminarily.Choosed 42 days old, 96 weaned piglets(Duroc X Landrance X Large) which were divided into seven groups and every groups had three pens which had eight piglets, fed basal diets (group I), the basal diets without any antibiotic ( group II), basal diets adding 0.05% APS (group III) and the basal diets no any antibiotic but adding 0.05% Baichlin(group IV).The result showed that: (DADG of groupIV increased by 3.41%(P<0.05) compared with group II but decreased by 2.33% (P>0.05) compared with group I . (2)f he feed-meat ratio of the group IV decreased by 2.56%(P>0.05) compared with group II but increased by 1.59%(P>0.05) compared group I (3)The total counts of coliform bacteria of feces decreased of group III was decreased by 8.84%(P>0.05) and group IV increased by 2.62%(P>0.05) compared group I , The total counts of coliform bacteria of feces decreased of group III and group IV was decreased by 7.89%(P>0.05) and 4.19%(P>0.05) compared group II .The total counts of lactic acid bacteria of feces of group III increased by 8.84%(P>0.05) compared group I and group IV was decreased by 2.62(P>0.05).Group III and group IV increased by23.51%(P<0.05) and 10.50%(P<0.05). The diarrhea of group IV was higher than group I but lower than group II .(4)The level of RBC\ MCHC\ PLT in blood of group III, IV was higher than group II but the level of WBC\HGB ,MCH in blood was lower.(5)The level of BUN in blood and blood sugar of group III and group IV was lower than group I and group II .(6)The level of TP, ALB, GLO in serum of group III and group IV was better than group I and group II (7)The level of IgG, T3, T4, C3, C4, GH, ALP in serum of group III was higher than group I , these parametre of group IV was better than group III than group II. The level of Cor in serum of group III decreased by 27.74%(P>0.05) compared with group I . The level of Cor in serum of group IV decreased by 32.04%(P<0.05) compared with group II.
