This paper made a study on Ammopiptanthus mongolicus, Tetraena mongolica, Potaninia mongolica, Haloxylon ammodendron, Ceratoides lateens, Reaumuria trigyna, Convolvulust tragacanthoides, Salsola passerine and so on which distributing typical shrub in Eastern Alashan desert of Inner Mongolia. In order to disclose the adaptive strategies and capacity in the desert environment, protecting and rebuilding vegetation provided the theories, it is helpful to study how the plants in desert adapt to the local environments for combating the desertification and accelerating ecological restoration of the ecosystems. Study on their seeds germination characteristic, seed respond to water, and cell nutrimental dynamic change in the seed germination process. The results indicated that:1. The character of the plant seeds germination was different in Eastern Alashan desert of Inner Mongolia. It distributed the difference in the germination rate, the germination time, the germination duration, the seeds vigor exponent, The adaptation to the drought was different in germination.2. The1000-grain weight of seeds or fruits was significant positive correlation with the time of imbibition(P<0.05). When the seeds germinated, the 1000-grain weight of the seeds or fruits was negative correlation with water utilizing efficiency; the seeds capsule or pericarp was negative correlation with water utilizing efficiency; the 1000-grain weight of the seeds or fruit was significant positive correlation with absorbing water speed (P<0.05);the seeds capsule or pericarp was significant positive correlation with absorbing water speed (P<0.05). So the larger the 1000-grain weight was, the longer the time of imbibition was, the speed of absorbing water was slower, the water utilizing efficiency was lower; the thick the seed capsule was, the slow the speed of absorbing water was, the low the water utilizing efficiency was, the much the water content of requiring was.3. Nutrition substance content,degradation and transportation of different plant seeds cells was different. Protein is rich, and cane sugar is hardly seen in Reaumuria trigyna, Salsola passerine,Haloxylon ammodendron and Tetraena mongolica. Cane sugar is rich, and protein is hardly seen in Ammopiptanthus mongolicus, Convolvulust tragacanthoides, Potaninia mongolica, Ceratoides lateens.
