The too large turfgrass area has been influenced the sustainable development of city. Therefore, excellent ground covers must be introduced into the gardens, which can partly replace turfgrass, drought tolerance, cost little to maintain and better ornament. Hemerocallis middendorfii is an excellent perennial flowers,which has the characteristic of better ornamental, better adaptability, abundant variety and better colony function. It's researches and uses are getting recognition. As a result, Hemerocallis middendorfii has a huge development and underlying market.The research of Hemerocallis middendorfii in foreign country mainly includes breeding, culture and landscape designing are also much studied. But because of different horticultural equipments,environmental condition and cultural modes between areas, it is different that the results of the studies applies to China directly. So it is significant for the improvement of ornamental and advance of industrialization of seedling and the application and development of Hemerocallis middendorfii to pertinently and systematically study the individual plant every cluster, fertilizing technology and chemical weed control.
