| This research was carried on in the tiger zoo in the Heilongjiang province and cat family increased centre. The author used an instantly scanning sample method and focal animal method from June 2004 to June 2006 and they took a systematic research on behavioral pattern and behavioral development of Amur tiger cub in captivity. Then we obtained the following conclusions: Each stage behavior of Amur tiger cub in captivity gives priority to sleeping and the proportion exceeds the total of other behaviors. Along with the tiger baby's behavioral develops, foraging behavior exceeds and play behavior increases, the difference has appeared between the early daytime and the night in tiger cub. The behavior of tiger cub is difference between day and night. Along with the growth, the behavioral proportion of tiger cub appears that obvious separation and forms a behavioral pattern relying mainly on sleep at night gradually. Tiger cub's behavior, such as sleep, breast, and play, with the growth of them extend gradually. Tiger cub's play and movement behavior exist obvious differences at each stage. When tiger cub goes out of the hole their play and movement are increase, it is obvious that space has a prominent influence. Different individual have the same sleep but obvious different play behavior under the same condition. So the behavior of play can be regarded as an important sign of distinguishing young baby's individual character.
