Background- The cotton stalk is the most important by-product of the cotton system for it is a kind of reused resources. However, for many years the utilization of the cotton stalk is very low, and the great majority of the cotton stalk is burned right on the spot, idle or rotten. The industrial utilization on cotton stalk has not made remarkable profits. Therefore, it is essential to develop the industrial utilization of cotton stalk.Objective - To investigate the interaction between compression and three factors such as water content, particle size and pressure and make research on the interaction between performance of stalk and the factors mentioned.Design– To analyze the effect experimental factor on compression density and on the performance of relax density and endure of briquette by the means of 3 factors, 3 levels experiments.Conclusions–The experiment shows that the influencing effect of three factors will be particle size , water content, pressure in sequence. The higher pressure required, the more feasible the forming will be. In addition, it is advised that the water content is 4-12% and the particle size is less than 5mm would shape the ideal briquette.The experimental data show that the influencing effect of three factors will be particle size, pressure and water content in sequence and that fine particle, medium water content and high pressure have remarkable effect on durability of briquette.
