As a great country of agriculture China utilizes limited cultivable land accounting for not more than seven percent of the world to feed twenty two percent population of the world, top issue for China is how to use the land efficiently and productively. Recent years, China, the most important country of rapeseed production, has become rapeseed import country from export country. Reasons for this transformation may include high production costing, low production efficiency, disadvantage of competing ability comparable to other countries and other crops such as wheat. To encounter these problems, measures may be took on reforming rapeseed farming system toward simplified rapeseed cultivation for high efficiency, on activating farmer interest by their profiting more from the planting, and on enlarging the planting area and increasing the planting index.Present research developed the mode for promoting rapeseed cultivation for good quality and higher production efficiency, through plot experiment data and sampling data of two years. Summarized issues relating to framing system reformation may be as follows.Firstly, planting time and planting density for lower stream of Yangtze River valley which is major production area in China, should be adjusted. Most suitable planting time was the period from end of September to October 20, the best planting density was between 20 thousands and 25 thousands per 667m~2.Secondly, in accordance to the simplified high-efficiency cultivation characteristic of late planting and higher planting density, fertilizer application approach should be changed. Renewed fertilizing measure included adjustments of fertilizing time and...
