The construction and the development of the ecological forest has become a fundamental character in nowadays forest. The demand for woods growing rapidly along with the development of society, which has leaded to the dramatic reduction in forest area, serious erosion, the decline of the stand quality, the decline of soil fertility and the frequent occurrence of natural disasters, reducing the consequences of species, and even hinder the progress of human society. The construction of ecological forest play an important role in normal work of the three-ecological efficiency (Economic efficiency, ecological efficiency, social efficiency). It also plays an increasing important role in the improvement of the ecological environment, improving the quality of life, proting sustainable development of society. Therefore more and more projects are pay on the ecological forest. Since < the notification of State Forestry Bureau about the zone defined work on national forest classification> and were posed, all provinces or cities have correspondly work out all kinds of consecution standards about the ecological forest according to the actual and the national standards which made the construction of ecological forest more regulations and specification. Fujian Province Forestry Office in 2001 enacted the corresponding ecological construction technology standards of ecological forests which showed detail requirements of the ecological forest construction and played actively effect on the protection of ecological engineering such as "Five Rivers One Brook" and played an increasingly important role in promoting the ecological environment of Fujian.Minjiang River is the largest river in Fujian Province. The watershed's area reaches half of the total area, and the forest coverage rate is the first. Lose management in forest in recent years had led to the decline of the forest quality. Although some measures were taken on soil erosion recent years, the more broke of flooding and environmental pollution problems have become increasingly prominent day by day. The decline in the quality of the ecological environment has been a limitation for the harmonious of economic and society. At this point the main functions of ecological forest in Minjiang watershed have play an very important role on improving the ecological environment.The resources of forest stand is the fundamental basis on which the ecologically forest play ecological efficiency normally. The changment in the area and the volume of the forest stand can reflect the rationality of forest stand structure and forest stand health. It is also an important basis of the ecological efficiency.
