Research On The Development Of Urban Greening In Nanning City

Urban greening is very important to improve the quality of city environment, also is the key content of urban ecological environment construction. Urban green is closed connected with people's life, so it affects people's physical and psychological health directly. Moreover as "the first impression" to the outcomer, it affects the city external image directly. Thus, urban greening is the important standard of judging the degree of a city's civilized and development also is the crucial measure to developing in a sustainable way and building a harmonious society.Nanning city is the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, also is the center of politics, economy and culture in Guangxi. Nanning is devoting to the construction of "the Chinese Green City". Moreover, China-Asean Exposition is held in Nanning every year from 2004. Nanning city has becoming the window facing to Southeastern Asia countries. Therefore, there is profound significance to develop the urban greening in Nanning city. In the last few years, there are great achievements of urban greening in Nanning city. During this developing process, we have the good experience to summarize and promote, also some lessons to be paid attention to. In 2005, with the target of "wealthy Nanning, Cultural Nanning, Ecological Nanning and Safe Nanning" proposed by municipal government, it puts higher standard on the urban greening. From above, the status of urban greening is strengthened in Nanning city construction. Therefore, it is necessary to study the development of Nanning urban greening. Its contents including the coordinated development between urban greening and city construction and the improvement of urban greening construction standard, by this way can make Nanning become a true garden city of perfect environment and unique scenery.This paper mainly studies the development history, present situation and the existent deficiency of urban greening in Nanning city. There are some key contents about the development of Nanning urban greening, including the ecological effect of Greenland, urban Greenland planning, landscape plants application, cultivation of landscape plants, ecological city and gardening, and so on. This paper's order is to provide some suggestions on how to promote the urban greening and ecological city construction in Nanning city.
