Piglet colibacillosis is a kind of acute intestinal infection disease caused by bacterium Escherichia coli. Different colibacillus type, as well as pig age, individual physiological function, will result in different disease, such as Yellow Scour of newborn piglets, White Scour of piglets and oedema disease of pigs, which are common in most of the farms. Colibacillosis is especially harmful to the newborn piglet. When the disease broke through, the feed conversion rate and the survival rate will decrease. So the piglet will grow slowly, even become stagnation (so called stiff pig). Eventually, the pig production will be threatened. The reason of this disease is complex and often caused by the interaction of various factors. So the clinical diagnose, prevention and treatment of this disease become more and more difficult, which result in plenty of piglets die and bring huge economic loss to pig production. Therefore, how to increase piglet survival rate and adopt effective measure to prevent and treat colibacillosis has become an important task in pig production. In this study, we separated and identified several Escherichia coli and observed the comparative effects between traditional drug and the lysozyme. Furthermore we studied the lysozyme's application in the colibacillosis prevention and treatment, which will offer some reference and guidance for this disease control. In experiment 1, seven Escherichia coli were separated and identified in a disease-occurring farm, four of which could result in the disease. One belonged to O8, one O149, and two O147.In experiment 2, a drug hypersensitive test was carried through. The results showed that the the high hypersensitive activity to norfloxacin and gentamycin is 57.14%, the high hypersensitive activity to enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin is 71.43%, the high hypersensitive activity to cefotaxime is 85.71%, the high hypersensitive activity to bramycin, kanamycin and amikacin is 100%. Also the high hypersensitive activity to lysozyme is 100%. So, considering the abroad and strong resistance to medicine evolved in the...
