In the experiment, eight peanut variant strains (D8 generration) were used as materials, which were generated from one plant of D3 generration developed through introducing Chinese Scholar-tree DNA into peanut. The main agricultural characters of the variant strains and the acceptor (79266) had been studied in 2005. DNA had been isolated from the peanut variant strains leaves for AFLP analysis. The main results of the experiment as follows:1. Many diversity were existed between the variant strains and the acceptor (79266) in agricultural characters. The endopleura color of the acceptor was yellow, that of the eight peanut variant strains were white. The abloom type of the acceptor was continuously, but that of 5 variant strains were continuously, that of 1 variant strain was alternate and 2 variant strains were still separating on the character. Plant type of the acceptor was erection, that of 4 variant strains were creep, that of the other 4 variant strains were half-creep.Great distinguish were existed between the variant strains and the acceptor in quantity characters. In the variation, some were beneficial, but the others were adverse. In the eight variant strains, main stem height of three strains decreased by 37%,47.8%and 40%,respectively, as compared with that of the acceptor. Lateral branches length of two strains decreased by 58% and...
