The monsoonal evergreen broad-leaved forests in Xishuangbanna on different growth stages were selected to study the carbon storage. And 6 permanent plots were established, in which two permanent plots in young forest, middle-aged forest and mature forest, respectively. The main results are as following:1)The biomass of the young forest, middle-aged forest and mature forest were 209.24 t·hm-2, 241.38 t·hm-2 and 314.76 t·hm-2, respectively. The biomass of tree layer occupied above 92 %, which dominanted the total biomass. And the biomass of the tree layer showed the obvious increased with the forest age. Biomass of the shrub and herb layers also increased in the wave form with the forest age, but biomass of the litterfalls and CWD are the biggest in middle-aged forest.2) The carbon concentrations of stems, branches, leaves and roots in tree layers of the young forest, middle-aged forest and mature forest were 51.35±1.65 %,50.61±6.12 %,52.07±4.80 %,51.25±2.58 %, 51.51±2.05 %,52.79±1.83 %,54.23±4.03 %,51.51±2.05 %,52.96±1.50 %,53.03±2.18 %,53.77±4.01 %,51.97±1.72 %, respectively; The carbon concentrations of the shrub layer were 51.28±0.14 %,51.86±0.82 %,52.07±1.12 %, respectively; The carbon concentrations of the herb layer were 47.88±2.55 %,50.59±1.01 %,50.24±2.28 %, respectively; The carbon concentrations of the litterfalls were 46.95±11.19 %,47.26±12.33 %,47.11±9.9 %, respectively; The carbon concentrations of the CWD were 51.79 %,54.23 %,53.79 %, respectively, both were extremely similar.3) Organs allocation of the carbon storage in trees of the monsoonal evergreen broad-leaved forest in Xishuangbanna was: stems > branches > roots > leaves. Carbon storage of the stem was the highest among other organs, which constituted over 60 % of carbon storage of tree layers, and remarkably increased with the forest age. Carbon storage of roots increased slowly with forest age. Leave's carbon storage had no obvious change with the forest age.4) The allocation of the carbon storage among the different diameter classes in tree layers...
