Thifensulfuron-methyl is one kind of sulfonylurea herbicide which is relatively new class of compounds and effective for the control of broad-leaved weeds in wheat field, it is widely used in China. In this paper, residue analysis methods and dynamic of thifensulfuron-methyl have been studied for knowing residue status after used in wheat field and estimating the safety. The results will provide evidences for using pesticides rationally, guiding agriculture production and insuring agriculture products quality safety and environment safety.Residue analysis methods research on thifensulfuron-methyl, a high performance liquid chromatographic method has been used in wheat plant , grain , soil and water, different methods have been compared by experiments. The results show, wheat plant and grain sample were extracted with acetonitrile, followed by hexane partitioning, after the extract was cleaned up with a Florisil column, thifensulfuron-methyl was analyzed by Waters-996 HPLC-photo diode array detector(PDA), the average recoveries of wheat plant ranged from 89.61% to 96.15%, the C.V was between 4.20% and 8.72%. the average recoveries of wheat grain ranged from 90.42% to 96.37%, the C.V was between 4.86% and 8.13%. The limit of detector were both 0.02mg/kg. Soil sample was extracted with acetonitrile, the extract was filtrated by 0.2 μ m mini-dialyzer after concentration, thifensulfuron- methyl was analyzed by Waters-996 HPLC (PDA), the average recoveries of soil ranged from 94.53% to 97.36%, the C.V was between 3.18% and 4.39%. The limit of detector was 0.01mg/kg. Water sample pH was adjusted to 2-3, followed by dichloromethane partitioning, the liquid was filtrated by 0.2 μ m mini-dialyzer after concentration, thifensulfuron- methyl was analyzed by Waters-996 HPLC (PDA), the average recoveries of soil ranged from 87.78% to 94.20%, the C.V was between 4.27% and 5.19%. The limit of detector was 0.02mg/kg. The pre-treatment method of samples and the chromatographic conditions of the analysis were critically examined in...
