5 alfalfa species planted abroad in Xinjiang were chosen and the experiment was conducted in Oasis. In order to investigate the adjustability of these alfalfa species in oasis, we have investigated the course of growth, determined the CAP, canopy structure, dynamic development status, and moisture trial was conducted also in. the results were:To finish any growing phase different alfalfa species demands different quantity of heat (accumulated temperature) .The pertinency between the lasting days of any growing phase and daily average temperature is notable(r=-0.975).The important phase to yield and quality of alfalfa is the phase from branch period to blooming. The average daily water consumption gradually increasing from ramification to florescence, and reach maximum at blooming. As for the WUE Although treat W1 and treat W2 had the same classification in 5 species, the numerical value of WUE of them was different. WUE of W1 were between 25.15-29.26 kg/mm·hm2 and WUE of W2 were dropped between14.70-19.03 kg/mm·hm2.Plant height of 5 alfalfa varieties were fitted through the Logistic fit, and seeking a rapid growth phase: from branch period to early bud period in all varieties. Analysis curve equation parameters indicate that the influence of environmental change to the growth of different varieties were difference, Pondus gained more natural growth, and Xinmu1 gained smaller one.Along with the growth of alfalfa, canopy was continuous ongoing self-adjustment in fuller use of space resources, as well as hot-ray. At different azimuth of the maximum LD and are increasing as growth process, and the increase of maximum LD is smaller than the increase of minimum LD. Vertex angle from 7.5°-67.5°,TR was a gradual change in the trend smaller. TR indicated the difference among species after the early florescence. Pondus gains the smallest decrease.At early florescence the change of alfalfa CAP in the days has single peak curve, the peak value of CAP of alfalfa species frequently occur in 13:30, but mean CAP of all varieties is different in a day. In different growth period, the CAP is different in alfalfa varieties. Pondus gained more larger CAP and Xinmu1 gained smaller CAP.As to the annual yield, Pondus, Algonquin had better performance; With the increase in the number of stubble, the yield varieties gradually decline. The stability of yield between stubbles Xinmu1 was relatively stable and Pondus was not.
