New rural cooperative medical system plays an important role in the social security system, which not only relates to people’s lives and health closely, also affects the sustainable economic development and the gap between rich and poor. New rural cooperative medical system provides an opportunity to solve the problem like "Poverty resulting from sickness, sickness suffering from poverty", particularly injecting new vitality to the areas for poor populations.Since2003, since our nation implemented the new rural cooperative medical system, Xinjiang carries out the policy coverage in89districts with new rural cooperative medical system, covering agricultural population amounting to more than10million. After a series of experimental work, New type rural cooperative medical service in Xinjiang region has been getting high praise, and reducing the economic burden for farmers, solving the medical problems in Xinjiang and injecting new vigor into Xinjiang economic and social development as a whole.
