Hydrogel is one kind of polymer material which has great prospects fordevelopment. It has a good swelling property that not easy to dissolve in water orresolve by water. Hydrogels as good wound dressings are widely used in the field ofwound.Because the pure SA hydrogels and SA-COP hydrogels show weakness inmechanical properties so that cannot use in clinic wound dressings.In this paper, themain research contents are: Sodium alginate (SA)/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/polyethylene oxide (PEO) hydrogels were prepared using radiation crosslingking. Sodiumalginate (SA) grafted collagen peptide, SA-COP was made by sodium alginate.Sodium SA-COP/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/poly ethylene oxide (PEO) hydrogelswere prepared using radiation crosslingking. Results show that the hydrogels not onlyhave good swelling property remains a good mechanical properties and is expected tobecome a new kind of wound dressing.These two kind of hydrogels were characterized by FIR. Scanning electronmicroscope found that the pores were distributed on the surface of the hydrogels. Theinfluence of different radiation doses and weight ratios on properties including gelfraction, swelling property, water evaporation rate and mechanical properties werestudied. At the same time, the experiment text these two kind of hydrogels in bloodcompatibility, antimicrobial properties and cell.The experiment says these kinds of component molecules has a good compatibilityand connected by hydrogen bonds. Scanning electron microscope found that the poreswere distributed on the surface of the hydrogels. These two hydrogels show excellentability in swelling property, water evaporation rate and mechanical properties. At thesame time, the experiment proves that the SA/PVA/PEO hydrogel has excellent bloodcompatibility, have certain inhibition on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus,but without obvious promoting effect on the growth of fibroblasts. And theSA-COP/PVA/PEO hydrogel has excellent blood compatibility, to a certain degree ofinhibition of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, also has the obvious effect on promoting the fibroblast cells. SA-COP/PVA/PEO hydrogel is expected to becomean wound dressing.
