| This paper consists two parts literature review and clinical research.The literature review includes traditional medicine and modern medicine’s understanding and research status of SAT,and the research status of the purple swelling cream.And put forward the advantages and problems of traditional Chinese medicine internal and external treatment of the disease, as well as the prospect of the future.The second part of purple swelling cream external treatment combined TCM internal medicine in the treatment of wind hot phlegm syndrome of SAT clinical efficacy and safety of randomized controlled clinical studies.Objective:This study through randomized controlled study, evaluation of purple swelling cream external application combined TCM internal medicine in the treatment of wind hot phlegm syndrome of SAT clinical curative effect and safety, so as to provide more effective Chinese medicine for the treatment of the disease treatment.Methods:Will the SAT, a total of 71 patients with the wind hot phlegm syndrome were randomly divided into purple swelling cream application combined TCM internal medicine treatment group and the simple oral medicine control group.35 cases of control group subjects need to oral the experience formula of my tutor(basic herbs:Baicalensis 10g, Burdock 15g, honeysuckle 15g, dandelion 15%, Radix Bupleuri12g, Isatidis 15g, Notopterygium 10g, Forsythia 15g) to add and subtract,daily dose,4 weeks for 1 course of treatment, were taking a course.On the basis of the control group,36 cases in the treatment group used purple swelling cream external application topical local thyroid,2-3g every times, eight hours a night,1 times a day, stay lumps disappear after stop using.Two groups of treatment 4 weeks, followed up for 2 months, by signs and symptoms, TCM syndrome before and after the treatment, blood sedimentation, thyroid hormone level changes, the recent curative effect was observed.Through follow-up recurrence rate and incidence of hypothyroidism observe the long-term curative effect.Compared the compare and the long-term curative effect of tow groups.By observation of the treatment group with or without skin allergies adverse reactions of the purple swelling cream.through two groups with or without discomfort such as nausea, vomiting to observe the adverse reaction of oral Chinese medicine.Results:71 subjects before the onset of cold symptoms is 46 cases (64.8%), and 33 cases (46.5%) have a family history of thyroid disease,11 cases (15.5%) of men and women 60 cases (84.5%), aged 21 to 64, an average of 41.44±8.454 years of age, course of 3 to 40 days, an average of 15.77±9.541 days.4 weeks treatment, treatment group cure 16 cases (45.7%),16 cases were markedly improved (45.7%), effective in 3 cases (8.6%), the total effective rate was 100%; Control group cure 9 cases (25.7%),18cases were markedly improved (51.4%), effective 8 cases (22.9%), the total effective rate 100%,compared with the control group,treatment group cure rate is higher, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).The two groups after treatment of TCM syndrome integral, thyroid pain score of VAS, the degree of goiter thyroid hormone levels, average heart rate, body temperature, blood sedimentation and thyroid hormone levels than before treatment were obviously improved (P<0.05).Thyroid pain score of VAS, the degree of goiter thyroid hormone levels and blood sedimentation to improve the situation, the treatment group is better than that of control group, the difference statistically significant(P<0.05).The time of thyroid pain working and the pain disappeared, the treatment group is shorter than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).Followed up for 2 months, two groups had no recurrence;8 cases (22.9%) with hypothyroidism in treatment group,10 cases (28.6%) in control group. Treatment group 1 case appeared out of the test because of test drug allergy,5 cases during the process of chitin, slight red itchy local; Control group 1 case appeared in the process of taking medicine bloating, defecate syrup gastrointestinal adverse reactions.Conclusion:The signs and symptoms of SAT is obvious,purple swelling cream external application topical local thyroid directly in view of the lesion site,has the good effect of detumescence and removing pain.medicines are available through the whole play a role of integrated regulation, especially to improve the early SAT inflammation caused by the symptoms of hyperthyroidism, the antifebrile, improve curative effect is flustered, reduce blood sedimentation and thyroid hormone levels. Both cooperate work, better than oral Chinese medicine alone.
