Item with an average score of the improtant<4 or (and) the coefficient of variation (CV)>2.0 was deleted after research panel have discussed. In the second round consultation, weighting of each itme was involved[Results] After 2 rounds of Delphi consultations, the Kendall harmonious coefficient was 0.37 for the first level items and 0.35 for the second level items at the second round, both of them had statistical significance (p=.000*) means that experts agree the importance of items consistent high level. The response rate was 83.3% at first round and 86.7% at second round. The co-coefficients of expert authority were 0.90 and 0.91 respectively, both were>0.70 means the result has a high degree of credibility. Finally the core knowledge includes 8 level items and 50 second level items. First level items include summary of nonsocomial infection, prevention and control of multi-drug resistant infection, the common nonsocomial infections, occupational exposures, standard precautions, nonsocomial infection control in major department, medical waste management and microbiological specimen collection. The maximum proportions are occupational exposure and standards prevention, respectively 25%.[Conclusions] This research formed inital Delphi consulation questionnaire through literature research and semi-structured interview. After two rounds of the Delphi consultation, the "core knowledge of nosocomial infection prevention and control training for nursing students" was constructed. The research constructed core knowledge of training for nursing students combined nursing students’ requirements of nonsocomial infection knowledge, job duties as well as the views of experts, and based on training requirements of the nonsocomial infection prevention and control guideline. The core knowledge totally includ 8 first level items,50 second level items, and weight distribution of each point This study defines the knowledge and skills of prevention and control of nosocomial infections that nursing students need to master. It is reliable and valid to provide guidance and reference for the nursing students’ training.
