Background:As same as the decrease of the quantity of ovarian follicle, declining in the quality also reflects female patients have lower fertility, which is called decreased ovarian reserve. Up to now, there is no effective medicine to cure the disease, and which therapy western medicine used is hormone replacement. On account of a series of adverse effect, patients can’t use it for a long time. Whereas traditional Chinese medicine have advantagement in the treatment of the disease. Long-term clinical observation has discovered that there is a large number of patients presented clinically with hypomenorrhea, and much of them suffers with deficiency of kidney and liver stagnation. Professor JIN Zhe can increase the amount of menstrual bleeding to change procreate ability significantly by replenishing kidney essence and dispersing stagnated liver qi for rel ieving qi stagnation. Otherwise, we have found out that many patients with this disease have short menstrual cycle but still normol, which is between 21 to 28 days. But there is no research to explore the correlation between menstrual cycle and serum genital hormone detection until now. Objective:To observe the curative effects of the decreased ovarian reserve patients also with the symptom of hypomenorrhea and suffering deficiency of kidney and liver stagnation who have taken a kind of compound traditional Chinese drug called Xuxiang granules, and explore the effective herb to cure the disease. To study the correlation between menstrual cycle and serum genital hormone detection. Methods:Select the decreased ovarian reserve patients also with the symptom of hypomenorrhea who suffer deficiency of kidney and liver stagnation, and use self-contrast method to compare the variation of pregnancy outcome, serum hormone levels, early follicular count measured by transvaginal sonography, menstrual blood volume and integral of clinical symptoms after taking the’Xu Xiang granule’. Select 42 patients with decreased ovarian reserve and test the serum hormone levels at the 2nd to 4th day of menstrual cycles, and record the menstrual period. Use the SPSS software to explore the correlation between serum hormone levels and menstrual cycles of patients with decreased ovarian reserve by means of a linear single variable relevant assay. Results:There were 31 patients with decreased ovarian reserve. After the treatment of’Xu Xiang granule’,4 patients have pregnancies. The FSH and FSH/LH were significantly decreased after treatment (p<0.01).there were no markedly differential in statistics about E2, ovarian volume and antral follicles count.11 patients’menstrual blood volume begin to normalize. According to the integral of clinical symptoms,2 cases were clinical recovery (7.41%),8 cases were significantly effective (29.63%),17 cases were effective (62.96%), and the total effective rate was 85.19%. About the correlation between FSH and menstrual cycles of patients with decreased ovarian reserve:No matter the cycle is normal, long or short, there is no markedly relevant between menstrual cycles and FSH level in statistics (p>0.05).Conclusion:For the decreased ovarian reserve patients also with the symptom of hypomenorrhea who suffer deficiency of kidney and liver stagnation,’Xu Xiang granule’can significantly improve their levels of menstrual blood volume, integral of clinical symptoms, FSH and FSH/LH. But the improvements of E2, ovarian volume and antral follicles count were no significant. No matter the cycle is normal, long or short, there is no markedly relevant between menstrual cycles and FSH level.
