The research about chrono-medication is an important part in time medicine research. It can improve drug efficacy and reduce adverse drug reactions, promote rational drug use. Based on the correspondence between man and universe, traditional chinese medicine accumulated lots of chrono-medication since the Qin and Han dynastise. As the rise of modern time medicine research, chrono-medication of traditional chinese medicine renewed attention and obtained a wealth of research since 30 years ago.In Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, the popular of five movements and six climates made the docters of that time paid attention to the time factor during the the course of medication. Four Eminent Physicians in Jin-Yuan Liu hejian, Zhang Zihe, Li Dongyuan and Zhu Danxi were the outstanding docters of this period and Summarized lots of experience and methods about chrono-medication. These experience and methods were indispensable part of chrono-medication research of traditional chinese medicine. But no people has systematically collate and study of these experiences and methods. So this paper used literature research method, studied their related medicine books, discussed their chrono-medication experiences and methods based on five movements and six climates, four seasons, circadian rhythm, summarized their chrono-medication thoughts.In chrono-medication experiences and methods based on five movements and six climates areas, the paper studied Liu hejian and Zhang zihe’s experience and method. They summarized the changes in the characteristics of the disease based on the Five and Six changes. But Liu hejian not only paid attention to six climates, but also paid attention to five movements. Zhang zihe paid more attention to six climates than five movements, summarized the applicable prescription in each climate, especially cough.In chrono-medication experiences and methods based on four seasons, the paper found that Four Eminent Physicians paid attention to the correspondence between four seasons and four natures of drugs, five tastes, channel tropism. They summarized the changes in the characteristics of the disease as the seasons changes, applicable prescription in each season, drug addition and subtraction method as the seasons changes. Such as Liu hejian summarized dry disease, wind disease,wet disease’scharacteristic as the seasons changes; Zhang zihe summarized typhoid, malaria,rheumatism ’characteristic as the seasons changes; Li dongyuan and Zhu danxi summarized other disease" scharacteristic as the seasons changes.In chrono-medication experiences and methods based on circadian rhythm, the paper found that they paid attention to the correspondence between medication time and resistance, location of disease. The float drugs needed to be added in Morning medication, and the settlement drugs needed to be added in the night, and the drugs treating xiajiao diseases needed to be eat before food, and the drugs treating shangjiao diseases needed to be eat after food. Besides, Liu hejian thought that emetic need to be ate in the morning, Zhang zihe thought diarrhea prescription need to be ate at night, Li dongyuan thought Qi Sun drugs need to be ate in the morning, Zhu danxi thought moistening lung drugs need to be ate at night.Depending on the these experience and methods, their chrono-medication thoughts were that under the guidance of correspondence between Human Body and Natural Environment, conforming with five movements and six climates rhythm, four seasons rhythm, day-night rhythm, selecting the best drugs in the best time.So the paper was the first time systematic discussing Four Eminent Physicians in Jin-Yuan’s chrono-medication experiences and methods, summarizing their chrono-medication thoughts which could provide reference and guidance for the modern research about chrono-medication. At the same time, this research has a certain significance to promote rational drug use.
