Study On Total Flavonoids Content And HPLC Fingerprint

Objective:Study on total content and HPLC fingerprints of different origin and different parts of Pileostegia Tomentella from Hunan province, to provide scientific basis for establishment of quality control standards and rational use of drug.Methods:The total flavonoids content of different origin and parts of Pileostegia Tomentella were determined by UV; Fingerprints of different areas and parts from Pileostegia Tomentella was established by HPLC.Results:The total flavonoid content of crude drugs from Hunan Yuanling by HPLC is higher than others.The highest content is in stem and the lowest in leaf.Establishment of the fingerprint of the stem and root from the Pileostegia Tomentella had been finished.Then usage of the similarity was calculated with software of 《traditional chromatographic fingerprint similarity evaluation system2004A edition》.The similarity parameter of root was0.882-0.952and stem0.893-0.967.Standarding nine common peak for root of Pileostegia Tomentella;standarding fourteen common peak for stem of Pileostegia Tomentella;and standarding six common peak for leaf of Pileostegia Tomentella showed that similarity is good.Conclusion."The total flavonoid content of Pileostegia Tomentella in stem is0.9%,in leaf is0.6%, in root is0.8%.The HPLC fingerprint of root and stem from Pileostegia Tomentella in species identification and quality evaluation is very practical.
