| Purpose:Through the traditional Chinese medicine bugufang combined with external fixator for osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures fixed postoperative patients with closed reduction of bone metabolic biochemical index, fracture healing and hip joint function to evaluate the effective of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) bugufang in the preliminary clinical for the treatment of osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures to provide reliable and safe clinical theory basis.Material and method:Collected 60 cases of patients in shenyang orthopedic hospital which are osteoporotic intertrochanteric fracture with closed reduction and fixed by external fixator, in hospital order,60 cases of hospitalized patients were randomly divided into observation group and the control group with figure form,each groups are in 30 cases.From the first postoperative day, the observation group was given oral Caltrate D one day a pill and a dose of bugufang, the control group to give oral Caltrate D one day a pill,the treatment last 3 months and follow-up of 9 months. Observing 60 patients of fracture healing, bone metabolic biochemical indicators and Harris score results before and after medication。Results:All 60 patients had the complete follow-up, observation group of 30 cases and control group 30 cases, after 12 months treatment and follow-up,the fracture healing rate, bone metabolism and biochemical indexes and the hip function of comprehensive evaluation were improved, but the treatment group was better than control group(p < 0.05), the difference is statistically significant.Conclusion:Chinese medicine bugufang can improve the osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures in patients with fracture healing rate, increase bone density, improve the quality of life,and have a great evaluation in the clinic.
