Purpose:Explore the correlation between brachial- ankle pulse wave conduction velocity(ba PWV) and coronary heart disease(CHD) and TCM syndrome to provide traditional Chinese and western medicine theoretical basis for early detection of coronary heart disease in clinical field to guide clinical treatment. Method:To exam ba PWV measurement, collect medical history, and test routine laboratory examination, and carry on the analysis of traditional Chinese medicine group according to syndrome differentiation for 630 patients with coronary heart disease and 530 healthy physical examination. Results: 1 ba PWV is statistically significant different between CHD group and non-CHD group, which has strong correlation with coronary heart disease(CHD). 2 In various factors of cardiovascular disease age, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure is strong influence factors for coronary heart disease patients. 3 Age, systolic pressure, diastolic blood pressure, LDL- C is the common risk factors, which can cause arteriosclerosis. And age, systolic blood pressure is the independent risk factors influencing the ba PWV. 4.In various group about coronary heart disease based on the TCM syndrome differentiation,ba PWV have obvious differences. The phlegm turbidity and blood stasis effect ba PWV most obviously; Followed by qi and Yin deficiency and blood stasis group; Again for Yang deficiency and blood stasis group with older age; Finally qi and blood stasis group and qi deficiency and blood stasis with age on the low side, two groups have the same effect on ba PWV in general。 Conclusion: Increased Ba PWV has strong relationship between coronary heart disease(CHD) and its different type of syndrome based on differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine to provide predictive value to the diagnosis of coronary heart disease.
