Purpose:By collecting literature, using evidence-based medicine system evaluation method, proof that Chinese and Western medicine treatment of primary nephrotic syndrome better than western medicine, for clinical applications Chinese and Western medicine treatment of primary nephrotic syndrome provide a theoretical basis.Material and method:In strict accordance with the provisions of the method of Cochrane system evaluation, using computer and manual search methods, a comprehensive collection of the past decade has been published on the combination therapy of primary nephrotic syndrome randomized controlled trials(RCT);and in accordance with the development of literature inclusion and exclusion criteria were screened for the study were included in the final evaluation of the methodological quality, using Rev.Man5.3 Meta-analysis software. Results:A total of 27 met the inclusion literature, a total of 2159 cases of patients. Comprehensive Meta-analysis of clinical efficacy show: good homogeneity(P = 0,97, I2 = 0%), the combined OR = 4.17,95% CI(3.22,5.38), P <0.00001, integrative medicine and western medicine group the difference was statistically significant, the presence of publication bias; 24 h urine protein Meta analysis showed: P <0.00001, WMD =-1.00,95% CI(-1.38,-0.63), statistical significance; Meta analysis showed that serum albumin: P <0.00001, WMD = 4.79,95% CI(3.43,6.16), statistically significant; Meta analysis of total cholesterol: P =0.0005, WMD =-1.38,95% CI(-2.15,-0.60), statistical significance; triglycerides Meta analysis showed: P =0.11,was not statistically significant; creatinine Meta analysis showed: P =0.02, WMD =-13.18,95 % CI(-24.01,-2.34), statistical significance; BUN Meta analysis showed: P = 0.07 was not statistically significant; Meta analysis showed that the recurrence rate: OR = 0.22,95% CI(0.13,0.38), P <0.00001, statistically significant; Meta analysisshowed adverse reactions: OR = 0.15,95% CI(0.08,0.26)), there are statistically significant. Conclusion:Chinese and Western medicine treatment of PNS can improve the overall clinical efficacy is more effective than western medicine, but there is publication bias; compared with the comparison group, the combination therapy group in the lower 24 h urinary protein, total cholesterol, serum creatinine, and increase in serum albumin aspects better results, while better reduce adverse reactions and reduce the relapse rate; in terms of BUN and triglycerides not draw definitive conclusions contrast. Based on the sample size is low methodological quality of clinical trials included small, evaluate the results demonstrate the strength of this system is limited.
