A Randomized, Controlled Clinical Study On The Postoperative Rehabilitation Of Rectal Cancer

Object:To study the effects of mixture combining Jichuan yangsheng zhuyan ageless medicinal liquor with intestinal nutrition solution on rectal cancer patients who underwent surgery, the effects will be assessed through the following parameters, including gastrointestinal function recovery status, nutrition,immunity, inflammation, and life quality.And to investigate the recovery effect of Jichuan yangsheng zhuyan ageless medicinal liquor on postoperative patients bearing rectal cancer.Methods:40 patients were randomly divided into two groups:the medicinal liquor combined with conventional intestinal nutrient solution group (group A, hereinafter referred to the test group) and conventional intestinal nutrient solution group (group B, hereinafter referred to the control group),20 recipients in each group. Control group included 20 cases, which were subject to conventional intestinal nutrient solution treatment; Test group contained 20 cases, on the basis of the control group. recipients took the Jichuan yangsheng zhuyan ageless medicinal liquor three times a day,10ml each time;The parameters of nutrition, immunity and inflammation were detected on the day before operation and on the 3rd day after operation respectively; Lymphocytes were counted and gastrointestinal function recovery status was evaluated in both two groups, we also observed patients’gastrointestinal function recovery status featuring postoperative first exhaust, defecation time and hospitalization time in two groups.The health status of patients in two groups was observed and compared between the day before operation and the tenth day after operation.Result:The total number of lymphocytes was increased at 3d after surgery in two groups, and lymphocytes in the test group were higher than that in control group (P<0.05). Compared with control group, the level of CRP was lower in test group at 3d after operation (P<0.05).The levels of total albumin, albumin and siderophilin were significantly higher in test group at 3d after operation(P<0.05). The level of IgA was significantly higher in test group at 3d after operation(P<0.01); The first exhaust, defecation time and hospitalization in test group were shorter than that in control group (P<0.05). Gastrointestinal function recovery assessment indicated that TCM curative effect score and western medicine curative effect score performed better in treatment group, which was statistically significant (P<0.05);Cartesian (Kamofsky) score results showed that health status of treatment group was better than that of control groups at 10d after operation(P<0.05);Conclusions:The method of Jichuan yangsheng zhuyan Ageless medicinal liquor combining with intestinal nutrition solution could promote the rehabilitation of postoperative patients with rectal cancer. It could improve immune function, facilitate nutrition status,reduce the inflammatory response, and help gastrointestinal function revitaling, thus promoting fast recovery for postoperative patients so as to improve their life quality.
