This experiment studied the gonadal development of procambarus clarkii through treating mandibular and mandibular organ. The results are summarized as follows:1.Effect of cutting mandibular on gonadal development of procambarus clarkiiCutting mandibular of procambarus clarkii could facilitate ovarian development earlier, and the biological effect appeared most obvious at vitellogenesis stage. In treatment groups,there were no significant differences between the left side mandibular-ablated and the right side mandibular-ablated, but there were significant difference between the double mandibular-ablated and the one side mandibular-ablated. The effect of the double mandibular-ablated was the best.Cutting mandibular of procambarus clarkii could facilitate testis development earlier. Testis developmented faster in the breeding season after the mandibular organ was stimulated and the mature season came earlier, but there was little effect on the testis of the treatment group in the non-breeding season. The double mandibular-ablated developmented the fasterst, and the one side mandibular-ablated developmented the second.2.Different treatment of mandibular organ on gonadal development of procambarus clarkiiThe effect of injection on gonadal development of procambarus clarkii was not obvious in non-breeding season,but in the breeding season it could facilitate the ovarian development.,and gonado-somatic index (GSI) of the treatment group reached the peak earlier. The first and second group could always facilitate the ovarian development, and the development degree of ovarian became higher with the passage of time. The promoting function of the third group was limited.Injecting crude extract solution could facilitate the testis development of procambarus clarkii. In the non-breeding season, the development level of treatment group and control group was identical, and there were no significant differences. Injection crude extract solution could faciliate the testis development of procambarus clarkii in the breeding season. The biological effect of the third group was the best, and the first and second group were the second.Effect of immersing crude extract solution on testis development of procambarus clarkii was little in the non-breeding season, but it could facilitate the ovarian development of procambarus clarkii in the breeding season. The fifth and sixth group could advanced the maturity, but the fourth group relatively advanced less.The gonado- somatic index (GSI) of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group.Immersing crude extract solution could facilitate the testis development of procambarus clarkii. The gonado-somatic index (GSI) of the treatment group was higher than that of control group.The sixth group could advance the maturity of testis in the breeding season, and the other two groups could also advanced the maturity, but their function was not better than the sixrth group.
