Scrophularia ningpocnsis is an important Chinese medicinal plants, has high economic value. in recent years, Agrotis ypsilon,grubs and other insect pests directly affected the yield and quality of Scrophulariaceae in Hubei Province. In this thesis, the environmental friendly pest management strategies were developed, the results are as follows:The investigation of the arthropodes populationg in S. ningpocnsis field in Jianshi and Badong County, Enshi, Hubei showed that there were about 72 species. Among them, 70 species belong to Insecta and 2 species belong to Aranerda. The main pests were Agrotis ypsilon Rottemberg,grubs,Phyllotreta striolata etc., the major nature enemy insects were Coccinella septempunctata Linnaeus and Chrysopa septempunctata Wesmael.Field experiments found that pheromone traps could be well applied in forecasting the occurrence of adult black cutworm. There was obvious relationship between the pre-season crops and the damage degree of Figwort. The damage rate of the fields which planted maize and tobacco in the last planting season were much higher than others, the average damage rate can reach 12.43% and 15.68%, respectiveily. There is no realationship between damage rate of figwort and altitude. The field test results of five pesticides against A ypsilon showed that the controlling effect of 10% beta-cypermethrin EC 2000 times and 40% chlorpyrifos EC 1500 times were 92.53% and 91.69%, respectively. Another field experiment showed that:0.3% azadirachtin EC on black cutworm has a good control effect, up to 69.29%. The field survey and plot efficacy trials were carried out for the research,The result of five pesticides (5% phoxim GC,4.5% trichlorfon and chlorpyrifos GC,5% chlorpyrifos and phoxim GC,5% chlorpyrifos GC, 10% diazinon GC) against grubs in field trial showed that 10% diazinon GC and 5% chlorpyrifos GC have better control effect, the control effect can be achieved 84.21% and 78.95%. Effectiveness of the insect killer lamp of Jiaduo in monitoring and controlling pests was tested in the ningpocnsis field, the result showed that the lamp can effectively reduce the grubs population density, The result revealed that the damaged rate of leaves in the fields where the lamps were placed reduced 2.37% to 17.78% compared with those without lamps.
