This test completed in the area of desertification in Hexi:through the different ratio of dairy manures and corn stalks trial of composting, to explore the compost when the changes of various parameters, and through comparison of the various parameters in order to arrive at the ratio of the best. Late in different proportion of matrix on greenhouse pepper desert growth, yield and quality results of the experiment, to explore the proportion of pepper indicators and desert sand and slag application effect, in order to filter out the most suitable non-desert regional greenhouse pepper soil cultivation and formulation. The key findings were summarized as follows:1. Dairy manures and corn stalks in a different ratio(V/V) have great impact on composting, in which 3:7 of dairy manures and corn stalks was best ratio. Its temperature rose rapidly to 55℃on the second day, and high temperature maintained for 16 days. It met the purpose of sterilization and thorough decomposition. And at the end of the compost, no odor, showing dark brown, the volume reduction was 56%, The pH value was 8.4, TDS value was 1275ppm, the total carbon content declines 9.23%, the total nitrogen content increases 1.01%, the seed germination index(GI) was 88.95%, which all met the compost quality standards. Thus, in practice, dairy manure in the composting of raw materials accounts for 30% in volume was suitable.2. he culture media in different substrates ratio had some effect on the growth of pepper。The growth effect was optimal in substrate ratio of (straw:manure=7:3): mushroom residue:desert sand=6:2.5:1.5 and (straw:manure=7:3):mushroom residue:slag=5:1.5:3.5. Colonization in the section 140d, the plant height were 95.9cm and 96.2cm, the plants stem diameter 1.694cm and 1.726cm, respectively And performance of the pepper plant strong, compact plant type, was conducive to nurturing seedlings.3. Matrix containing slag processing and handling with desert sand substrate in the physiological indicators measured by changes in trend. The results showed that SOD activity in pepper leaves decreased, while POD activity, Pro content and MDA content were showing increasing trend under the formula in the winter. 4. Different substrates ratio significantly affected the pepper yield in all treatment. The culture medium with desert sand shows significant differences because of the difference of substrates ratio. The yield was the highest resulting in 3416.99kg of per mu in substrate ratio of (straw:manure=7:3):mushroom residue: desert sand=6:2.5:1.5, while the yield was the lowest resulting in 2908.59kg of per mu in substrate ratio of (straw:manure=7:3):mushroom residue:desert sand= 5:2.5:2.5. But, in the matrix formulations containing slag, the yields in substrate ratio of (straw:manure=7:3):mushroom dregs:slag=5:1.5:3.5 formula was the best for 3412.75kg.The straw:manure:mushroom residue:slag=1:1:1:1 of control yield per mu was 3178.47kg, the performance of moderation.5. The different substrates ratio had some impact on pepper fruit quality, in which Vc content has significantly difference. Vc content in substrates ratio with desert sand was much larger than the substrates ratio containing slag. Vc content in substrate ratio of (straw:manure=7:3):mushroom dregs:slag=6:2.5:1.5 was the highest, it was 121.1 mg/100g·FW. Vc content in substrate ratio of (straw:manure= 7:3):mushroom dregs:slag=5:2.5:2.5 was 117.2 mg/100g·FW. But, in the matrix formulations containing slag, Vc content in substrate ratio of (straw:manure=7:3): mushroom dregs:slag=5:1.5:3.5 was the highest, it was 105.5 mg/100g·FW.
