Forest health assessment, one of the current hot research directions, has become standards of domestic and international assessment of forest conditions and forest resource management. In recent years, research on forest health assessment at home and abroad mainly focused on forest resources, nature reserves, spruce-fir forest, pine forest, oak forest, and water conservation forest and so on. Camellia oleifera, as a woody tree species endemic to China, has a good economic efficiency, ecological benefits and social benefits. There is the absence of relevant research results in the comprehensive evaluation of Camellia oleifera forest health. This study takes Camellia oleifera in Hunan Tuqiao Forest as the studying object, makes assessment about their health status, analyses the main factors of affecting the health of Camellia oleifera, establishes evaluation index system and evaluation model of health of Camellia oleifera,and evaluates its healthy status to provide theoretical and technical support for the guidance of their health management, the improvement of the value of Camellia oleifera, and better play the economic, social and ecological service functions.(1) Establish the health assessment index system of Camellia oleiferaBased on the economic value and social ecological service functions, chosen three-pronged approach such as the natural environment, structure and function and socio-economic, this study selects 24 indicators to evaluate Tuqiao Camellia oleifera Lam forest health:annual average temperature, annual precipitation, sunshine hours, soil bulk density, soil moisture, soil thickness, soil ph values, soil organic matter, soil nitrogen, soil total P, soil total potassium, pest and disease occurrence degree, other disasters occurrence degree, forest age, stand density, tree shape, water conservation and soil conservation value, landscape aesthetic values, the amount of fruit produced per unit area, oil production per unit area, input-output ratio, silvicultural measures, social emphasis.(2) Establish the evaluation model for the assessment of Camellia oleifera forest healthSelecting the level of subjective analysis assignment method is to calculate index weights. To invite five experts, based on AHP importance of indicators for each 1 to 9 scale, pairs of index system of indicators to compare the relative importance of various indicators for scoring by arithmetic average, after the establishment of indicators to determine levels of matrix, using square-root Calculation of index weight, and through consistency of testing, finally determining the weight of each index. The level and standard of index can be asserted by analyzing the characteristic of Camellia oleifera forest health. By introducing the uncertain comprehensive evaluation method, the affiliated matrix to different grade of " in the pink of condition, health, sub-health, and morbidity," for index can be got by layer-to-layer calculation, and finally determine the uncertain comprehensive evaluation vector, and by assignment calculation, establish the evaluation model for the assessment of Camellia oleifera forest health.(3) Research on model application-the health assessment of Tuqiao Camellia oleifera Lam in Liuyang HunanFirst,according to the health assessment of Tuqiao Camellia oleifera Lam by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, Hunan Tuqiao Camellia oleifera forest health evaluation result is3.3248,which indicates that the overall health situation of the Camellia oleifera Lam is currently between gradeⅢandⅣ,with a little bias in favor of gradeⅢ, showed the development trend of a change from sub-health state to an unhealthy state, if not taking the immediate adoption of measures to remedy health management, Tuqiao Forest Camellia oleifera forest may develop into an unhealthy state,which makes an early warning signals for the current state of Tuqiao forest health and helps managers to monitor and adjust Camellia oleifera forest health at any time.Second, by the analysis of Tuqiao forest health evaluation index system, as an economic forest, analyze and know that the direct factor which affects their health extent is economic indicators, that is fruit yield per unit area and oil production per unit area, based on such, there targeted proposes the following several regulation ways:①thinning, pruning and shaping dwarf trees to reduce stand density and optimization of tree shape;②soil cultivation, fertilization, green manure planting, soil and water conservation, and other techniques measures to increase the granular structure of soil, improve water and fertilizer supply situation, but also to supplement the soil fertilizer NPK, thereby enhancing soil fertility;③take improved varieties of measures, integrated and biological measures to increase the input-output ratio, improve economic efficiency of Tuqiao Forest Camellia oleifera Lam.④take biological and chemical control methods to control a combination of the incidence of pests and diseases.⑤take three-dimensional cultivation to improve climate among the forest, reduce the hazard of the late summer and autumn drought.
