Agroforestry system refers to all the land use system of the combinition of the land of trees and crops and animals, its formation and development is to meet its own needs of survival and development for human society, to comprehensive management of land use results.Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan(CZT) is in the east of Hunan Province where agroforestry has a very long history,with the total land area about 28 thousand square kilometers and a total population more than 1300 million people, GDP and financial revenue of the province accounted for 40.9% and 39.4%. CZT Urban Agglomeration have won the approval of the State Council by the end of 2007, becoming a'comprehensive reform pilot area of building resource-conserving and environmentally friendly society', for the purpose of integrating the three cities'individual strengths into the overall advantage organically, making it the Rise of Central China an important growth pole, a new guidance area for province's new-type industrialization, urbanization and new rural construction, a modern international Eco-city group. Therefore, it has a far-reaching significance that research the landscape pattern of CZT ecosystems agroforestry from a regional perspective, not only for regional ecological environment and socio-economic sustainable development of the CZT Urban Agglomeration, but also giving a valuable example for the landscape pattern research of China sub-tropical ecosystems agroforestry.In this study, to reseach the landscape pattern and its changes, the CZT Urban Agglomeration region is the research objectives, in ENVI, ArcGIS software,the remote sensing images of CZT regions in the two years 2000 and 2007 are the reseach data source, quantitative analysis and landscape pattern quantitative are the reseach methods. The main reseach results are noted as follows.1. As a result of human activities, the landscape pattern in CZT has changed greatly from the year 2000 to 2007. As a result of urban expansion, the area of arable land and woodland are in the reduction but of waters and towns are increasing. If the current external conditions were stay the same, the system stability would be decreased, the human disturbance would be strengthened further, and the ecosystem environmental situation would be grim, it would run counter to the objective of building the'two-oriented society', and be little hope of future regional landscape structure as well.2. the overall landscape diversity index of the study area increased to 1.0051 from 0.9907, an increase of 0.0044 shows that the proportion of the overall differences in the structure ratio of the landscape is reducing, the degree of landscape heterogeneity is increasing. From the year 2000 to 2007, the overall landscape evenness index increased to 0.6231 from 0.6127, an increase of 0.0104 shows that the differences in the structure ratio of the composition elements of the landscape types is reducing, the uniformity of landscape pattern is increasing, and the landscape types have a balanced development trend, landscape types with the advantages have dropped its' dominant position. From the year 2000 to 2007, the overall landscape aggregation reduced from 93.9456 to 93.4089, a reduction of 0.5367 shows that the overall aggregation of the andscape elements in the study area is decreasing. The landscape fractal dimension as a whole decreased from 1.0863 in 2000 to 1.0854 in 2007, indicate that the overall landscape shape has a simplification trend.
