To explore the influence of water stress and shading on the growth and physiological characteristics of Sedum spectabile Boreau, taking one-year-old seedlings of Sedum spectabile Boreau as test materials and with the pot-planting method, set three kinds of water stress conditions: contrast, natural drought, flooding stress and four kinds of shading treatment: full light, 30% shading, 60% shading, 90% shading. Measured and analyzed main physiology characteristic under water stress and shading treatment, And the experiment further appraised the drought resistance, waterlogging resistance and shade tolerance of Sedum spectabile Boreau and tried to provide theoretical evidence for its application and promotion.The major results were summarized as follows:(1) under drought stress, water saturation deficit, relative electrolytic leakage,MDA content, proline content increased; SOD activity, POD activity and soluble sugar content increased at first but later decreased; Leaves relative water content, soluble protein content and chlorophyll content decreased.(2) under waterlogging stress, leaves relative water content, soluble sugar content,relative electrolytic leakage,MDA content, proline content increased; SOD activity and POD activity increased at first but later decreased; water saturation deficit, chlorophyll content and soluble protein content decreased.(3) The growth of Sedum spectabile Boreau was inhibited slightly on 50 days of drought stress, some leaves turned yellow.but the growth of Sedum spectabile Boreau was inhibited slightly on 30 days of waterlogging stress, some leaves turned yellow; on the 50 days of waterlogging stress, the growth of Sedum spectabile Boreau was inhibited, leaves turned yellow.(4) It analyzed the correlation of each index under water stess, found out leaves relative water content, water saturation deficit, MDA content, leaves relative water content and proline content could be used to identify the drought-resistant and flooding-resistant.(5) While the shading was different, the physiological changes of Sedum spectabile Boreau were different.even if, under the same shading, while the days of shading were different, the physiological changes of Sedum spectabile Boreau were also different, Under the 30% shading, SOD activity, POD activity and MDA content increased at first but later decreased; chlorophyll content increased; soluble protein content, relative electrolytic leakage and chlorophyll a/b decreased. Under the 60% shading, SOD activity, POD activity, MDA content and chlorophyll a/b increased at first but later decreased; soluble protein content and relative electrolytic leakage decreased; Under the 90% shading, SOD activity, POD activity, MDA content decreased; chlorophyll a/b increased at first but later decreased; soluble protein content and relative electrolytic leakage decreased; chlorophyll content increased.(6) On the basis of the variation of index under shading treatment, it showed that the shading≤60%, sedum spectabile boreau could grow normally, the shading≥90%, Sedum spectabile Boreau couldn,t grow normally. |
