The Feed And Medical Value's Evaluation And Utilization Research On Two Kinds Of Compound Herb Residues

With the development and improvement of technology, the treating of herb residues has changed from the past simple process into current further one, like the transitions from single dosage, such as powder, decoction and ointment, to various forms like peroral dosage, injection, capsule and so on. The number of our annual emissions in herb residues is very huge, especially the current situations of disposal and utilization of herb residues( stacking, incineration, landfill) were introduced , those methods not only pollute the environmental, but also cause the waste of resources. Therefore it is in urgent need to address the problem about how to reclaim and reuse. The components of crude protein, crude fat, cellulose and some medicinal ingredients , which have the ability of resisting disease and high feeding value, make herb residue to be a great kind of potential feed resource. But less study was focus on this aspect, especially scarce in rabbits. According to the influence of heat stress on the production performance, physiological functions and other factors, this experiment chooses herb residues of Qingwen Baidu and Huoxiang Zhengqi as researching project, which are representative for the effect of heat-clearing and detoxicating. A primary exploration on the feeding and medical value is discussed here with five parts:First, nutrient component of herb residues. The nutritional components of the medicine dregs were determined and analyzed by the common method. Results were followed: for Qingwen Baidu, crude protein 14.1%, crude fat 1.7%, crude fiber 15.8%, acid washing fiber 31.0%, neuter washing fiber 67.7%, calcium 1.7%, and phosphorus 0.3%; for Huoxiang Zhengqi, crude protein 13.1%, crude fat 3.2%, crude fiber 8.5%, acid washing fiber 54.4 %, neuter washing fiber 78.7%, calcium 1.3% and phosphorus 4.8 %. Second, effect of Qingwei Baidu herb residues on growth performance of Lactational Rex Rabbit. Twenty rex rabbits in the same period of lactation and similar body weight were randomly divided into four groups,five for each group.â…£was the contrl group,the others were the trial ones. The herb residues of 1%,2%,3% was added to the diet of the tested groups. The results show that milkability of female rabbit and growing rate of young rex rabbit in the trial groups were higher than the control group. Weaning survival rate of Testâ…¢was the highest, but the difference was not significant (P>0.05), Compared with the weight change of lactational rex rabbit in control group, the differences in test group(â… ,â…¡) were not significant. Third, effect of Huoxiang Zhengqi herb residues on growth performance of Lactational Rex Rabbit. The experimental design was same as the study of Qingwei Baidu herb residues in part 2.The results show that milkability of female rabbit and growing rate of young rex rabbit ofâ…¢group were significantly higher than the control group(P>0.05). Compared with the weight change of lactational rex rabbits in control group, the differences in trial group were not significant(P>0.05). The result indicated that adding Huoxiang Zhengqi herb residues can enhance the production performance and increase the feed efficiency.Fourth , effect of Qingwei Baidu herb residues on growth performance, the biochemical marker of serum and immune function in growing rex rabbits. 42 day old rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups. Rabbits in trial group were fed with basic diet supplemented with Qingwei Baidu herb residues, and the control group was fed with basic diet supplemented without Qingwei Baidu herb residues. The results showed that compared with the control group,the Qingwei Baidu herb residues not only raised daily gain and redueced feeding cost but also increased the content of the biochemical marker of serum. The diet added with herb residues increased the content of SOD, GSH-Px, T3, T4, IgA, IgM and IgG, but decreased the content of MDA and Cortisol. The result indicated that Qingwei Baidu herb residues could improve the production performance, the immunity and the anti-oxidized ability, raise the feed efficiency and decrease heat stress.Fifth, effect of Huoxiang Zhengqi herb residues on the growth performance, the biochemical marker of serumand and immune function in growing rex rabbits. The experimental design was same as the study of Qingwei Baidu herb residues in part 4.The results showed that compared with the control group,the Huoxiang Zhengqi herb residues not only increased the content of the biochemical marker of serum, but also raised daily gain and redueced feeding cost. TP, ALB, lgA, lgM, lgG, T3, and T4 levels were increased, TG, BUN, CK,AST and ALT levels were decreased.The result indicated that Huoxiang Zhengqi herb residues could improve the immunity and the production performance, raise the feed efficiency and decrease heat stress.Conclusion: those two kinds of herb residues are rich in nutrients such as crude protein, crude fat, cellulose, minerals, polysaccharides and so on. When substituted with an equal amount by wheat bran, a good feeding effect was observed over the production performance, immune function and anti-heat stress ability on rabbits. At the same time, it can reduce the cost of feed and expand the feed resources.
