Rhododendron lapponicum is a rare species of flower, with high ornamental and economic value, it's in good quality and graceful in style, bright and beautiful in color, artistic in stem, so it's favored broadly. This study based on the Rhododendron lapponicum'Fen Jin Die (Cosmopolitan)', researching different concentration's influence of sucrose on some physiological characteristics and flower color. It's useful for the production and application of park, and will offer guidance for the artificial regulation of color, prolong the florescence and increase the flower's quality. The following is the details of this study:1. After the treatment of the sucrose, the Rhododendron lapponicum's stem is longer than the reference obviously. It proves that the treatment of the sucrose can accelerate the growth of the buds. But after the treatment of 0.7 mol/L sucrose, the stem will shorter than the reference, it shows that this treatment of sucrose can inhibit the growth of the buds.2. The result shows that it is benefit for the growth of buds on squaring stage and blooming stage under the treatment of sucrose, but under the treatment of 0.7 mol/L sucrose the blooming stage is shorter than the reference. It shows that the treatment of sucrose provide the energy substance for the Rhododendron lapponicum, make it blooming in advance and help to slow down the ageing process. But the high concentration will accelerate the plant's metabolism, descend the resistance and accelerate ageing process.3. After the treatment of the sucrose, the protein content and the soluble sugar content has increased, the SOD and POD activity has increased, MDA content is descended, rate of O2- production is descended, which has inhibited the aging process efficiently. It shows that the sucrose acts on the flower is not base on the influence of some material, but by the way of improving the nutritional condition entirely to inhibit the aging process. We have proved that the effect of 0.5 mol/L sucrose is the most effective way for Rhododendron lapponicum.4. The treatment of the sucrose can improve the active of the petals'PAL and CHI, and improve the anthocyanin accumulation effectively, inhibit the activity of PPO, and descend its degradation process on anthocyanin. It proved that it can promote the quality of flower, and the treatment of 0.5 mol/L sucrose is the most effective way.5. Through the analysis of the chromatic difference, we found that the treatment of the sucrose can improve the coloring of Rhododendron lapponicum's petals, and improve the color and luster effectively.In conclusion, the treatment of the sucrose can improve the nutritional condition entirely and improve the anthocyanin accumulation effectively, it have good effects on prolonging the florescence and improving the quality of Rhododendron lapponicum, so it shows that the treatment of 0.5 mol/L sucrose the most effective way for Rhododendron lapponicum's growth.
