This research based the investments in five representative tea plantations of shandong, concluding tea gardens in rizhao, junan , zibo and taian .These tea gardens have different ecological environments and planting management skills.During the growing seasons, we take surveys of diseases, pests and other resources regularly. From all the resources we collected during last year,we summarize the lists of diseases and insects and their regularity of outbreaking in different tea gardens in Shandong. All these work will benefit to the establishments of prevention and control methods.1.During the survey of last year,we find :(1)There are 40 kinds of pests and mites in Shandong, which belong to 2 Classes, 8 Orders and 25 Families. Empoasca vitis and Aleurocanthus spiniferus are the main pests in Shandong tea gardens.(2)There are 12 common diseases in tea plants, including 9 diseases in tea leaves and 3 diseases in tea roots. (3)The natural enemy resources are rich in Shandong. In the surveys,we find 7 kinds of predatory natural enemies, which belong to 4 Orders and 4 Families. We find 7 kinds of parasitic natural enemies which belong to 2 Orders and 7 Families and 28 kinds of spiders which belong to10 Families. Atypus sinensisSchenlce, Misumenops tricuspidatus(Fabricius), A.Lugubris Walckenear, Thomisus sp., Agelena difficilis Fox, Agelena labyrinthica(Clerck) and Evarcha albaria Koch are the dominant species; Atypidae are the spicial species in Shandong.2.In our surveys,we summarize the biological resources population dynamics and their regularity.(1)Empoasca vitis has two peak each year. The fist during May to June, the second from August to October ,which damages greatly. Aleurocanthus spiniferus damage greatly in June, July, August and September. In summer, Aleurocanthus spiniferus reaches the maximum number.(2) Diseases in tea plants happen in different seasons.During spring, Gloeosporium theae-sinensis, Phyllostricta theaefolia and Phoma sp.happen greatly; During summer, Colletotrichum camelliae, Pestealotia theae Sawada, Phyllosticta theicola and Hypochnus centrifagus(Lev).Tul.happen greatly;During autumn, Ceroospora sp.and Tea root knot nematode happen greatly.(3)The natural enemy have a great number in september, followed by june.Different natural enemy species have different highest survial periods, esp. the spiders.3. The biological resources in tea gardens have a good relationship with ecological environment and cultivation managements. In superior tea gardens, there are more biological resources, and the species community is stability.
