GPR detection for grain situation is a new kind of grain detection technology, it has the advantages of high resolution, efficient, convenient, nondestructive, etc. Density and grain quantity are an important indexs of grain situation. Density detection can provide references for the detection of granary foreign object and moisture content. The Italian advanced RIS - K2 GPR is introduced by Henan university of technology. Based on the theory of electromagnetic, the RIS - K2 GPR is used in the detection of grain quantity and density.It can provide a new way of grain detection—nondestructive testing method. The detection outside of the granary used in the paper enriched the contents of grain situation measuring and controlling system.Detection outside of the granary can avoid the grain loses quality and even the explosion of the granary about such safety issues which might appear in the detection inside the granary.The method can improve the quality of the management of the central grain reserves,reduce management costs and promoted the development of the grain storage technology.It also can give us a more comprehensive understanding of grain storage, which can improve the security of central grain reserves.It is important for the solution of grain safety state and can promote the sustainable development of the social.The main research content and result are as follows:1. Aiming at the research status of lack of on-line detection of grain quantity and density,The paper take the wheat as the research object and use the GPR to emit electromagnetic waves to detect the wheat in granary , The thesis use the theory of electromagnetic wave and according to the work principle of GPR, discusses the working principle and technical features of GPR detection which used in measuring wheat density distributions.2. According to the layered structure of the manure heap, the paper has analysed the characteristics of measuring dielectric constant with various method , and use layer stripping inversion wheat dielectric constants.3. The manure heap in granary is a kind of mixture which is mainly constituted by air, water and wheat, The paper establish a wheat dielectric constant model based on the theory, and analyse the influence of density on wheat dielectric constants from the grain structure.4. Carried on experiment of use GPR to detect wheat,Used the experimental result to analyse the changes of wheat dielectric constants with density in different moisture content. Establish wheat dielectric constant—density linear model, this model was applied to the granary in reality to comparison and analysis the validity of the model, in order to provide theoretical basis for the engineering application.The research achievements is to successfully explore the GPR applied to wheat density distribution and quantity wheat by new ways. The nondestructive testing method is realized fundamentally while measuring the wheat density distribution and quantity. These research results are the basis for GPR application in grain situation detection. It is significant to introduce GPR detection to study grain situation and will provide a new thought and improvement goal for China's grain storage.
