| The chlorophyll fluorescence parameters in leaves of six walnut varieties, eleven fine apricot varieties and five introduced jujube varieties and parameters of water use efficiency of the test varieties were determined and compared under field conditions using a TPS-2 Portable Photosynthesis System made in PP Systems in USA and a OS-30P Opti-Sciences Portable Chlorophyll Fluorescence System made in Opti-Sciences in USA and a Finnigan MAT DELTAplus XP Isotapes Mass Spectrometer made in Germany. The results were shown as follows:There were extremely significant difference in Fv/Fm and Fo (P<0.01) among the six walnut varieties. The difference in Fm (P<0.05) was significant on the level of species series. However, the difference in Fv/Fo(P>0.05) was not significant among the six walnut varieties on the level of species series. The differences in Fv/Fm, Fv/Fo, Fo and Fm were extremely significant (P<0.01) on the level of time series. Except T1/2 of Juglans regia 'Xinwen185' and J. regia 'Xinxin2' were not evidently varied at p.m. compared with the same value at am., T1/2 of the other varieties decreased to some certain extent, The extent of ability to resist light inhibition of the six walnut varieties were:J. regia 'Xinwenl 85' and J. regia 'Xinxin2'were the strongest, J. regia 'Xinzaofeng', J. regia 'Xinfeng' and J. regia 'Zha343'were the middle, J. regia 'Xinwenl79' was the weakest. There were extremely significant difference inîœ3C and instantaneous water use efficiency (P<0.01) among the six walnut varieties. The extent of ability to water use efficiency of experimented varieties was J. regia 'Xinzaofeng'< J. regia 'Xinfeng'< J. regia 'Xinwen185'0.05) among the eleven apricot varieties and the differences in Fo and Fm were extremely significant (P<0.01).The differences in Fv/Fm, Fv/Fo, Fo and Fm were extremely significant (P<0.01) on the level of time series. The extent of ability to resist light inhibition of experimented varieties was:A. vulgaris 'Baduyuluke', A. vulgaris 'Daguohuanna' and A. vulgaris 'Akeximixi' was the strongest, A. vulgaris 'Quebanxing', A. vulgaris 'Suogejianali', A. vulgaris 'Kumaiti', A. vulgaris 'Xiheiyexing', A. vulgaris 'Jianali' and A. vulgaris 'Heiyexing' was the middle, A. vulgaris 'Cuheiyexing' and A. vulgaris 'Muyage'was the weakest. There were extremely significant difference inδ13C and instantaneous water use efficiency (P<0.01) among the six apricot varieties. The extent of ability to water use efficiency of experimented varieties was A. vulgaris 'Akeximixi'> A. vulgaris 'Heiyexing'> A. vulgaris 'Kumaiti>A. vulgaris 'Daguohuanna'> A. vulgaris 'Saimaiti'> A. vulgaris 'Jianali'.There were extremely significant differences in Fv/Fm, Fv/Fo, Fo and Fm (P<0.01) among the five introduced jujube varieties. The differences in Fv/Fm, Fv/Fo, Fo and Fm were extremely significant (P<0.01) on the level of time series. The value of Fv/Fm of Ziziphus jujuba 'Junzao' and Ziziphus jujuba 'Jinsixiaozao' kept on a higher level. The value of Fv/Fm of Ziziphus jujuba 'Huizao', Zizyphus jujuba 'Zanhuangdazao' retained on a lower level during the whole diurnal variation process and the average of Fv/Fm and Fv/Fo of Z.jujuba 'Zanhuangdazao' was obviously lower than that of the others. Except T1/2 of Z. jujuba 'Junzao'and Z.jujuba 'Jinsixiaozao'was not evidently varied at p.m. compared with the same value at a.m., T1/2 of the other varieties decreased to some certain extent. The extent of ability to resist light inhibition of experimented varieties was:Z. jujuba 'Junzao' was the strongest, Z. jujube 'Jinsixiaozao' and Ziziphus jujuba 'Yangjiaozao' was the middle, Z. jujuba 'Huizao' and Z. jujuba 'Zanhuangdazao' was the weakest. There were extremely significant difference in instantaneous water use efficiency (P<0.01) among the three introduced jujube varieties. The extent of ability to water use efficiency of experimented varieties was Ziziphus jujuba 'Huizao'> Z. jujuba 'Junzao'> Z. jujuba'Zanhuangdazao'. |
