In this paper, the vegetation diversity of both within and outside of four Enclosure fence experimental demonstration bases along Tibet railway was investigated. Besides, photosynthetic characteristics of several native species。The results of the paper would be used for future ecological protection, restoration and management along Tibet railway。The major results of the paper were described as below:1,According to survey:the number of accompanying plants with low adaptation in experimental demonstration bases was much smaller than outside; the height and growth potential of dominant plants were significantly better than that outside, while the coverage and relative importance value were lower than outside。All of these indicated better community structure, higher vegetation diversity in experimental demonstration bases than outside。2,The day variation of photosynthetic rate of Salix babylonica, Salix cupularis presented three-apex curve; The day variation of photosynthetic rate of Salix matsudana Koidz, Salix.bangongensis and Salix fragilis presented two-apex curve; Their first apex reached about at 11:00 a.m, while the second apex reached about at 17:00 p.m。3,The day variation of transpiration rate of Salix babylonica Salix.bangongensis, Salix fragilis presented three-apex curve; The day variation of transpiration rate of Salix cupularis and (Salix matsudana Koidz) presented two-apex curve; Their first apex appeared about from 11:00 to 11:00 a.m, while the last apex appeared about from 16:00 to 17:00 at p.m。4,The order of light compensation of several native plants was:(Salix fragilis)> (Salix matsudana)> (Salix.bangongensis)> (Salix cupularis)>(Salix babylonica). The order of light saturation point was:(Salix matsudana Koidz)=(Salix.bangongensis)> (Salix cupularis)> (Salix babylonica.)> (Salix fragilis)。...
