In ancient, Hanging Gardens of Babylon,as a representative example, is showing urban landscape design that applied to vertical green of the unconscious in early time. until the 1990s, developed western countries began to research the system theory of vertical green. It will be a frontier topic for urban ecological landscape development in landscaping design field in future. This dissertation focuses on the application of the vertical green theory. Through Analysing the ecological of vertical greening applied to the new type city in developed countries, it supported and developed by the governments policy, at the same time, it brought ecology, economy and health benefits for resident. the scientificalness of vertical greening for eliminating the "urban heat island effect" and ecological landscape construction will be proved. Using modern technology to carry out reasonable collection for plant in terms of the characteristics of plant growth. in the respect and utilize of natural condition, designers summarized the principle and methodology of urban vertical greening with the traditional landscape greening technology contrast in terms of new technology, new energy resources and new style. This dissertation based on the main factors of the style of landscape design and ecological technology to answer why the vertical greening to use in the city and how the vertical greening to establish. Through researched on the detail of vertical greening, it illustrated how vertical vertical to carry out combining with Chinese element. Through analysied the current situation of China and cuted by successful example of vertical greening around the world (vertical farms and urban forest), it introduced the feasibility of vertical greening in China.
