Semi-mangrove important ecologicalfunctions and economic value. But domestic study of semi-mangrove is even not perfect, especially in nursery techniques. In this study, several common semi-mangroves incluing Thespesia populnea, Cerbera manghas, Heritiera littoralis,Pongamia pinnata have been studied. The effect of diifferent midia on germination and germination critical moisture content have been mastered by seed germination experiment of Pongamia pinnata. The appropriate germination conditiongs and seed storage methods have been mastered by seed germination experiment of Thespesia populnea. The appropriate substrates have been mastered by the research on seedlings of different matrix of four kinds of semi-mangroves. All of this study is based on the understanding of the biological characteristics of the semi-mangrove, the seed storage, germination and substrate selection of four kinds of semi-mangroves were solved by combining part of the seedling test, and theories and echnology were offered for introduction, promotion, seedling and scientificresearch work of semi-mangrove. The main results are as follow:1. Seed germination experiment of Pongamia pinnata:Dealt the seed of Pongamia pinnata with four methods including planting in sand with no hulls, planting in sand with hulls, planting in sediment with no hulls and planting in sediment with hulls, and treat other seeds with seventeen gradients of moisture content; Observed the germination and searched the critical moisture content. The result shows that, removing the hulls is helpful to heighten the germination rate and germination energy. Planting in sediment with no hulls is the best treatment for germination and germination energy. The research of critical moisture content shows that, the suitable moisture content for seed germination is 14.05%~47.19%, and the germination rate is 83.33%~96.67%; The germination rate is lower significantly when the critical moisture content is 9.33%~11.69%, and the germination rate is 13.33%.2.Seed germination experiment of Pongamia pinnata:Dealt the seeds of Thespesia populnea with three methods including dry storage at room temperature, sand stratification,,refrigeration, and then germination test. The result shows that, the germination of seeds dry storage at room temperature is the best, the germination rate is35.5%, the germination energy is24%,the continuous days of germination is 55;The germination of seeds by sand stratification is the worst, the germination rate is9.5%, the germination energy is 2%, the continuous days is 30. Treat the seeds of Thespesia populnea with soaking in warm water(50℃),respectively,0 hours,4 hours,12 hours,24 hours, and then germination test. the result shows that, the germination rate and the germination energy are no significant difference, soaked in warm water is not helpful to germination of Thespesia populnea.3. Research on seedlings of different matrix of the four kinds of semi-mangroves: Selecting the appropriate substrates for the four kinds of semi-mangroves by observation of biomass, photosynthetic rate and physiological and biochemical indexes underdifferent substrates, and combining with principal component analysis. It also can provide theory basis and technology support for introduction, promotion, seedling and scientific research work of semi-mangrove of the semi-mangrove in the future. The appropriate substrates of Pongamia pinnata is yellow soil+sand+basal; The appropriate substrates of Thespesia populnea are yellow soil+sand+basal and yellow soil+sand+fertilizer; The appropriate substrates of Cerbera manghas is yellow soil+sand+fire soil; The appropriate substrates of Heritiera littoralis are yellow soil+sand+basal, yellow soil+sand+fertilizer and yellow soil+sand+fire soil;the yellow soil is not suitable for the the four kinds of semi-mangroves.
