Protein-protein interaction (PPI) network is an important approach for interpreta-tion of life activities. Oryza sativa, is an important agriculture resource, but also a model organism of Monocot plant. The present experimentally identified PPI data of Oryza sativa is still rare, thus we applied bioinformatics approach to predict PPIs net-work for Oryza sativa. Through integration of PPIs in multiple public databases for six model organisms:yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), worm(Caenorhabditis elegans), fruitfly (Drosophila melanogaster), Escherichia coli K12, Arabidopsis thaliana and human (Homo sapiens), we abtained 48,152 proteins with 533,927 interactions. Then, 5,049 rice proteins with 76,585 PPIs for Oryza sativa were predicted using interolog information. Furthermore, we created a database (PRIN, http://bis.zju.edu.cn/prin/) for our predicted interactions and experimentally confirmed interactions.
