Black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) has a strong adaptability, speed of growth, diversity of purpose and cultivation is widespread in many countries, so with the poplar, eucalyptus together known as the world's most successful introduction. To enrich genetic resources of Black locust species in Hebei Province and breed excellent characteristics of the Black locust species. In 2003, Task force collected secondary Black locust provenances from all over,respectively, and provenance test at Sha he, Gao Yi, Baoding, Yixian in Hebei Province.we Investigated the DBH and tree heigh for 6 years and collected a large amount of observational data and related information,and study of genetic variation in black locust.On this basis, on the growth point we select a group of black locust clonal ,and evaluation of seedling stage. The main results are as follows:1. Preservation rates and growth of Black Locust in the three sites vary widely. Charactersof tree height and DBH, the growth of the initial were significant differences between provenances were not significant growth of late, but there has been a very significant location effect. Multi-point analysis of variance of 4 years showed that the seed source location interaction significant. The interaction effects analysis show that on tree height and DBH ,provenance main effect of the value of the largest seed source is the Hubei Xinzhou, Henan Lushi and Shanxi Shun he provenance, but each species in different locations source provenance interaction index rankings were different. ShaHe test site was the most suitable planting locust, followed by the test points and gaoyi Baoding test points.2. Growth of black locust correlation with the latitude and longitude show that growth of black locust and latitude showed significant negative correlation and longitude showed a weak negative correlation. When cluster analysis ,there is no North and South category trends, indicating that the locust provenances form a clear pattern of geographic variation from east to west.3. In 4 test points, we selcet provenance and excellent individual .Provenance to select at the intensity of selection to 0.64, and 4 provenances were selected, respectively, Longxian shanxi, Zunhua Hebei, xinzhou Hubei, Kunming, Yunnan provenance. Then we choose the 23 best individual and two ck individuals. We can gain more genetic in individual selection than provenance selection 4. Through a rigorous selecting out the fine breeding clones, the emergence and growth traits are also significant differences exist. Clones of the highest emergence rate more than 3 times the lowest, while the height and diameter of clones between best and worst, the difference are 1m and 0.73cm.the final evaluation of the growth of the fine for the 2,3,12 of clones.
