China is the world's largest apple producer and consumer, apple industry occupies a pivotal position in the world. However, due to the size of the orchard planting method of characteristics, orchard management almost relies on human effort, and it is inefficient and labor-intensive. With the change of apple cultivation patterns, some new type of high density orchards adopts dwarf rootstock cultivation patterns, and traditional orchard Joe anvil type is for every line of tree felling and pruning, which provides the conditions for carrying out orchard mechanization of auxiliary operations. Fertilization is an important fruit production management technical measures,Location and form of fertilizer furrow are reasonable or not that directly impacts on the growth of fruit trees, yield, fruit quality and economic efficiency. The topic is for the modern status and needs of the orchard fertilization. The development status of ditching machine at home and abroad was investigated and analyzed. Combined with horticultural requirements, it has been designed specifically for the ditching machine ditching orchard fertilization. The paper's main work is as follows:1. According to the gardening requirements'root distribution and ditching orchard fertilization, the overall design parameters of ditching machine are determined, and the working principle of ditching machine is also described. Through the kinematics and dynamics analysis, its groove width and deep, forward speed, productivity, chain speed, cut soil thickness, cutting resistance and the total consume power and other basic parameters were confirmed.2. The basic parameters of ditching machine was determined, its main components was designed. It includes articulated bodies, spindle combination mechanism, transmission shaft bracket, chain and screw auger support beam dump etc... And it focuses on analysis and calculation of the trencher gearbox. Transmission speed can be achieved with the edge of a farm operation ditching machine turning, walking quickly switch between the transport rate. But also for the different of the soil conditions and the ditching parameters'requirements, you can change the ditching machine operating speed.3. Using the fertilization AIP software, three-dimensional blade ditching machine ditching parametric feature models were created. The ANSYS technology embedded in the AIP module was used to analyze ditching knife model by static finite element. Based on the results, the structure and parameters of the trenching tool need to be improved. Improved safety factor for ditching blade is 2.494 and 2.533; both of them meet the design requirements, reduce the working resistance, and save the material. The ditching machine's three-dimensional model of main parts were completely drawn and assembled.4. Procurement-related components and the processing of prototype trial. Also, the standard NY/T740-2003 is used to evaluate the quality of trencher operations which include trenching depth, trenching depth of stable, groove width and the thickness of surface dust. Through the relevant measurements and calculated data, ditching machine's ditching meets the quality standards of operation NY/T740-2003, the horticultural requirements, and can bring significant economic and social benefits.
