In this experiment, the variety Lu28 cotton seed was treated with dielectric separation, high-voltage electric field and combination of the two methods above. Through the germination experiment, the germination rate and germination energy of cotton seeds was determined. Seedling length, shoot length, stem diameter and field emergence and other growth indicator was measured in the field. The best treatment option of cotton seed was obtained as a technical guidance to improve cotton yield and high quality of seeds. The results showed that the seeds treated with different voltage (6000v, 7000v, 8000v) and different drum speed (20r/min, 25r/min and 30r/min) in the dielectric separating, germination rate and germination energy and field emergence had significant differences. The best condition was with 7000 voltage and 25r/min. Drum speed significantly affected seedling length, shoot length, stem diameter, of which the role increases with the bigger voltage. Root diameter of seedlings can be improved under 7000 voltage and 25r/min of rotational speed. Different electric field (15kv/m, 20kv/m and 25kv/m) and different treatment time (20s, 40s and 80s) had significant different affection to the seed germination rate and germination energy and field emergence. 20kv/m and 25kv/m voltage 40s was better than the other treatment. Processing time significantly affected seedling length, shoot length and stem diameter. The root diameter ratio of seedlings can be improved with 20kv/m voltage processing 40s. Considering, the 20kv/m to be applied for 40s was the best treatment, followed by 25 kV/m voltage for 40s. The results showed combination treatment with 20 kV/m voltage handling 40s is best, but which had no significant different with 25 kV/m for 40s .The seeds selected with the voltage 7000v, speed 25r/min were then treated in the high-voltage electric field 20kv/m and 25kv/m for 40s, to measure germination rate, germination energy of cotton seeds, seedlings length, shoot length, stem diameter and field emergence. In summary, dielectric separation and high-voltage electric field can improve the germination rate and seedling quality to some extent. Dielectric separation with 7000v and 25r /min speed and combined treatment with 20kv/m for 40s was the best combination. The results show that dielectric and electric field treatment could enhance the vigor of the cotton seed, which was very useful in cotton production.
