Developing the relevant indicators of green volume increasing the amount of green space and adjusting the structure of green space would make plants more thriving and maximize the ecological benefits of green space to improve the living environment, to achieve the objectives and requirements of low-carbon city.In this paper, the common specifications of 8 kinds of landscape plants such as Osmanthus fragrans, Ficus virens and Ficus microcarpa var.pusillifolia were main study objects, by measuring plant morphological characteristics such as the height, diameter, crown width and leaf thickness of plants, the shape of plant crown,then using WinScanopy Pro 2005a Plant Canopy Analyzer took trees photographs and recorded the geographical location parameters such as longitude and latitude, elevation, azimuth, slope and toward the shooting point. After finishing data collected by EXCEL2003, according to a certain formula, we could using the morphological characteristics of plants per plant to calculate the amount of leaf area index; At the same time, combining the geographical parameters,and using WinScanopy Pro 2005a Plant Canopy Analyzer software for random analysis of digital photos could also come out a class of leaf area index. At last, applying the data processing software SPSS 13.0 make out the correlation analysis between the amount calculated using the morphological characteristics and leaf area index derived from software analysis.The results showed that both theα=0.05 or 0.01 level, two-tailed T test significance probability close to 0, the corresponding coefficient of determination is 0.8 LAI (Ficus virens)>LAI(Osmanthus fragrans) > LAI (Cinnamomum camphora (L.) Presl(?)>LAI (Cinnamomum pedunculatum); and the order of oval Crown is LAI (Magnolia soulangeana Soul.)>LAI(Salix babylonica) because only ginkgo is conical crown,so this makes no the comparison of the leaf area index.②the living vegetation volume means the volume of space occupied by the growth of stems and leaves of plants, if only considered the minimum amount of living vegetation volume, the order ofliving vegetation volume of 8 plants was:LVV (Ficus virens)>LVV (Cinnamomum camphora (L.) Presl.)>LVV (Cinnamomum pedunculatum)>LVV (Ficus microcarpa var.pusillifolia)>LVV (Salix babylonica)>LVV(Osmanthus fragrans)>LVV (Ginkgo)>LVV (Magnolia soulangeana Soul). Combined two factors in the minimum amount of living vegetation volume and the shape of crown,there are hemispherical crown LVV (Ficus virens)>LVV(Cinnamomum camphora (L.) Presl.)>LVV (Cinnamomum pedunculatum)>LVV (Ficus microcarpa var.pusillifolia )>LVV (Osmanthus fragrans); oval Crown LVV (Salix babylonica)>LVV(Magnolia soulangeana Soul.).(4) the changes of leaf area index and living vegetation volume for a kinds of plant:①the trend of leaf area index for a kinds of plant:the leaf area index of Cinnamomum camphora (L.)Presl., Ficus virens, Osmanthus fragrans and gingko have maximum, while height of branches under the canopy or crown diameter greater than a certain value, leaf area index will not be high with the increase of height of branches under the canopy or crown diameter; leaf area index of Ficus microcarpa var.pusillifolia, Salix babylonica and Magnolia soulangeana Soul. Will be increase with the increase of tree height or crown diameter, and the leaf area index did not set the maximum index value; for Cinnamomum pedunculatum, when height of branches under the canopy is in 0.67-1.33m, its leaf area index is greater than 3.0,while height of branches under the canopy is beyond to 1.33m,its leaf area index is in 0.33-3.0.②the trend of living vegetation volume for a kinds of plant:living vegetation volume will be increase with the increase of tree height,crown diameter or Crown height,of which the living vegetation volume of Magnolia soulangeana Soul.is the most minimum value,while the living vegetation volume of Ficus virens is the most maximum value,and the living vegetation volume of Cinnamomum pedunculatum and Magnolia soulangeana also both have the minimum and maximum value.Third,due to planting the same species in different conditions, geographical location and climatic conditions, it will be different growth conditions, so this paper does not compare the differences in index models between Shanghai, Shenyang City and this experiment with common landscape plants.
