As a kind of renewable natural resources, forest resources have attracted significant attention and become t he focus of r esearch d ue t o t heir ec ological, eco nomy a nd s ocial b enefits. F orest r esources survey is used for building or updating the forest resource files and archives, which provide scientific basis for forest resources development.This pa per a nalyzed t he da ta of F orest Inventory for m anagement plan during 10th a nd 11th Five-Year Plan, a nd focused one valuating t he s ituation a nd dynamic c urrent of forest resources i n Miyun County. Stands volume and areas of Miyun County increased rapidly, mainly in terms of shelter forest, forest land area has been increased by 7.31% and the total accumulation of live timber increased by 21.71% in the pa st five y ears,. Till th e e nd of 2009, t he forest c overage i s 57.18%, hectares o f forestry land area is 166514.36 hm2 and total accumulation of live timber is 2340610.52 m3 in Miyun county. The dynamic analysis shows that increased trend of the county-wide forest resources. F orest resources i n Miyun county is constitutive of mainly shelter forest in combination w ith commercial forest, which reflects local conditions generally. In addition there are still disadvantage of toosimple forest category and unreasonable stand structure.It i s can be F orecasted based on dynamic system model that the increasing aere and volume of water conservation forest i n Miyun County will b e gradually s tabilized till 2030, w hich put i nto full play in ecological functions such as water and soil conservation. And the Soil water storage of Forest Land will reach 6.69057×10't, which can reduce soil erosion of 4400t when the rainfall reachto 50 mm one time.
